Is Eubank's chin the best of British world boxing champions over the last 25 years?

Amazing heart, chin and determination Chris had. His son has a awful lot to look up to but if he has them qualities he'll have a chance to go far with his talent.

Eubank's chin and will were just something else. Nobody could really beat him up 'cause he was The Man - his humanity was superior.

No chance, you wouldn't see Eubank wobbled by Dirrell and Taylor.

thats a good point Flea, I was drunk when I posted that:lol: I was a massive Eubank fan back in the day, loved him like a brother! However I was always disappointed he never fought the RJJ's & Toneys of this world, that would have been a different kinda test for his chin. Against RJJ in particular, he would have been getting hit with punches he didnt see coming, the ultimate chin test...

Just look what happened to the reliably tough smigga when he got clocked by a punch he didnt see coming against Groves, he was gone. Could Eubank have taken shots from a lightning quick puncher? Thats my point here.

same rule for Scotty as Eubank, Scotty was teak tough but never fought the best in his weight class for a true chin test!

& to be honest if Scotty had fought Pac? I think he would have failed:lol:

Eubank got put down by Calzaghe and Watson. Lewis never went down against the likes of Briggs (murderous puncher in his day) or Klitschko (outrageous KO record).

And if you've seen the fight Lewis didn't get KO'd by McCall, he's clearly up and fine at the count of 9. Rahman fair enough, but it was a very good (and slightly lucky) punch on top of that Lewis hadn't really been training or taken the time to adjust to the altitude.

Far from being chinny (as many claim) Lewis actually had a genuinely elite chin, as the Klit highlight video shows.

    Or skills.

But yeah, McCullough's chin is on the short list for best I've ever seen on film. People can make all the paper arguments they want (this fighter faced these guys, went this long without a knockout, fought this many weight classes, etc.), but for me what it comes down to is what they show in the fights. All you have to do with McCullough is watch the quality and quantity of jaw-breaking shots (often from big punchers) he took in his fights without so much as batting an eyelash. The man was inhumanely tough.
