Wladimir Klitschko is head and shoulders above any other heavyweight right now.

There might be a couple who could pull off the upset, best bet is someone who can crack like Peter or Maskaev.

Its going to be very hard to beat WK on points.

His biggest threat is actually complacency. If he comes into his fights focused and determined he beats everyone out there.

Not too many top level heavyweights today. WK is the only one.

    Chagaev
    Povetkin
Valuev (Although exposed by Chagaev his size will be a problem for anyone)

Well, like you just said, that's a big IF. And like I said, I want to see him against some top comp before I rate his chances.

Dimitrenko cant beat a top 20 guy, and somebody picks him to beat klitschko.

no one will win by outpointing wladimir. he's simply too big, fast and skilled technically to let someone smaller outbox him.

as for the danger of a ko loss, i USED to think chagaev was his biggest threat. but after his average showing against an old fighter in skelton, i've changed my opinion on the matter.

povetkin is probably the biggest and possibly only threat for the foreseeable future.

haye is unproven at heavyweight (well at least at the top level) and has a bad chin for a cruiser so i can't see it getting stronger as a heavy, even though he likes to think it's a weight issue. combined with an average defence, wlad will no doubt be landing on haye with little danger of return fire. by the type haye gets through will anything he'll be ****ed and on his way to a ko loss. therefore the punch/es wont have any sting on them.

solis is too fat to compete at the top level.

arreola looks the dangerous type being short and a big bomber type BUT he is so open and fat that he would get ko'ed since wlad could tag that chin with his eyes closed.

if vitali comes back then maskaev or peter wont be even worth discussing in a fight with wlad as they would most likely be beaten by vitali if he has anything left in the tank. IF oleg and/or peter remain standing by end of 2008 then i see maskaev being way too old, stiff and slooooow for wladimir. and peter would get ko'ed in a rematch as wladimir now has a much clearer idea of how to hurt peter, plus even less nervous energy since he already beat him first time round, while peter went through a lot of pain in that fight.

so all in all i say povetkin with his strange angles, pressure and great amature background which should allow him to have some ideas to sneak under wlad's guard. having said all that, povetkin while being probably the biggest threat out there will still most likely lose by KO.

Not being biased here, but Haye has the best chance. He has speed, accuracy, and power, stylistically he is bad news for Wladimir, at least for 3 or 4 rounds. Povetkin, could maybe outbox Wlad, but I dont see it tbh. Wlad has serious skills himself, plus the size advantage, and his power is pretty ****ing awesome.

But anybody has a chance against Wlad. I mean come on, a guy that has been KOed three times already by journeymen is hardly unbeatable. Anyone with a pretty big punch can beat Wlad. A big punch and speed is even better, as Corrie Sanders demonstrated. And David Haye has got both. Throw in the fact that he has the skills and accuracy to land punches on Wladimir, stylistically he poses the biggest threat to Klit. If Povetkin had power, I would pick him to beat Wlad.

Who are the 3 biggest threats to Wladimir?

    ______________

Corrie Sanders fights again next week. CS could have been the best of them all - Tyson, Lewis, the K Brothers....

    Give me a break.

    Purlease,

Briggs in good shape is a gassed out wheezing robot after 30 seconds. Its not as if he has an iron chin either. Wlad would do to Briggs exactly what Lewis did to him all those years back, when he actually could fight for longer than 30 seconds, and had some speed. Knock him down a few times as soon as he starts to land his right hand. And then Knock him out. 3 or 4 rounds maybe?

Only without the early scare Lewis had. And believe me, I ****ing hate Wlad. It pains me to say he will destroy someone. But Briggs? c'mon.

What makes you to believe that Vitali is going to comeback ????

People seems to forget its 4 years since the guy was active.....
