    IMO

If he is offering to pay out of respect then there is nothing at all wrong with that

If he is offering to pay for publicity then he is a twat.

Personally i think its option 1 so fair play

Ironically, you speak about a problem that is entirely of Floyd's own making. He inspires hate because he acts with intent to do so. In fact, he revels in it because he believes that he needs the publicity. What he's doing, seems to me, is not so much a "counter measure" as it is a way to control the tone of the publicity he's brought to himself through his antics.

Not really faulting him for this, actually. Just sayin' that we we'd be better off seeing this for what it, which is a PR move pure and simple. He can do what he wants as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

I just don't understand why people are making such a big deal out of it in the first place? Is it really that serious?

He's not offering. He wrote that he will.

Whether he wrote it before or after discussions with the Frazier family remains to be seen.

It's a great thing for Floyd to do. He didn't need to announce it on Twitter though, I think that just proves he's an ego maniac. Sad really. RIP Joe. :rasta
