i know, and jeff, and smigga was a right laugh for the short time he was here, might start using boxrec myself now, losing some good posters and bans get handed out all over the shop

 

Two years seems a bit strong, my own view should be that an offence is either deserving of a rap on the knuckles, so a shortish ban (a couple of weeks or so), or is serious enough that it should just be a lifetime ban and done with it.

A two year ban seems an odd length, and surely those banned will just move on with their lives, it's not like they will be waiting the full term then rush back in with a sense of relief and a promise to be good from now on, is it? Life will have moved on. A two year ban seems an odd halfway house.

Defamatory and malicious postings on those threads were asked to be removed by the site moderator,who themselves decided to issue bans in the light of what was written.Posting peoples telephone numbers,addresses and email addresses online and running a hate campaign from behind a screen name was not considered acceptable.As a result of malicious calls made by people locating those numbers the police and phone networks are now investigating and an injunction has been applied for against Jeff Thomas.

thats a bit much, i mean the stuff the guy was asking jeff to do was ridiculous, and he was pretending to be official and involved with the nhs, in my opinion very creepy
