I'm sure Tony doesnt need anyone to fight his battles but for ****'s sake lads, this is a former British champion that you're giving **** to. Wind it in. All the best at LHW Tony, hope you get a good chance to prove yourself at the weight. Genuine question though, Quigley's last fight was at LHW. I've always thought he looked like a small SMW and would be better served going down rather than up in weight. How do you reckon he can do at the weight? The obvious fight to make is a rematch between you but I think it's ridiculous for him to be LHW so wouldnt like to see it. Someone like Jeffries though would be a good scrap for you? Or Rocky (though I think you may be a bit too experienced for Rocky at the minute so they're better holding him back for a year to get a bit more schooling)
Fully aware the ‘fight’ was aborted (thankfully) Ten years ago at 11st the ‘name’ would have meant something, at 12. 7lbs, after years of semi retirement following a near crippling accident Simons name is presently worth nothing.
listen you ****ing tool, who do you think you are? your prob a big fat overweight old man! give your a head a wobble you try an box an see how far you get! #LOWLIFE!
not answering for tony as he will be on when he see's this or ill let him know but my option is if you dont mind me saying, the fight with rocky wouldnt happin both oliver harrison trained mate, and as for quigley wel if you go on jane couchs videos an on the prizefighter quigley brothers intervew you can see your self tony quiggs about 17st at the min i think even making 12.7ish would be very hard for him
I appreciate the compliment but it wasn't meant to be an example of Scouse wit, more an example of your lack of it! If that is what counts as "wit" where you come from then it's a sad little place. You make a ****-take thread of a former British champion! Why? Probably because you see yourself as some sort of comedian. When really, all you are is a sad excuse for a human being. Have a look at your little thread, read the responses you have gained and give yourself a pat on the back. Then, when you are finished ask youself "Have i achieved even half of what Tony Dodson has?" And when the realism of a cold, hard "NO" punches you in the nose, remember the feeling before creating stupid threads in the future. So for your ability to get a response from people "well done Sir, well done"
its funny the way some people highlight another persons poor grammar when they have no comeback in an argument or debate...
i have got a serious question to "illuminatus".......i genuinely don't know how much you know or think you know about boxing but have you ever actually done it yourself?? i'm serious because at the admittedly relatively low level of my involvement in the sport over the last 20 years i can fully appreciate the levels of dedication that fellas like tony dodson and carl dilks(to name but 2 lads who happened to have posted in this thread) have to endure.i could only aspire to be as 10% as dedicated to boxing as lads like these but fully appreciate every professional boxer i have ever watched in a bout either live or on television because i have a bit of an insight into how hard it is when you're knackered and someone is pouring it on while you are trying to fight back. instead of being appreciative of pro boxers coming in here to interact with the fans fellas like you just try and goad a reaction from people.it doesn't make sense.it's like cutting your nose off to spite your face.if you were a genuine boxing fan or at least had a little bit of experience being in a boxing ring i think you would have a bit more respect for fighters regardless of the wether they are p4p kings of the world, european, commonwealth, british, english, regional champs or even journeymen with losing records. for god's sake stop embarrasing yourself.i'm not saying you have to come in here licking the arses of all the pro's who post in here.indeed, level critism if you must but at least make sure it's constructive critisism and even then, remember who you are giving stick to and stop for one minute to think about yourself, your own shortcomings and how much you should appreciate all the people involved in this great sport.
Scouse Red, Chappie and any others I may have irked I concur entirely with your comments; my poisonous barbs regarding Mr. Dodson and other Liverpudlian boxing stars are nothing short of an outrage, how dare I malign the achievements of such noble warriors when in comparison my own life has been one of unremitting mediocrity. I thank you all for taking me to task and pointing out my all too apparent shortcomings. By way of penance I will never post on this esteemed oracle again. I wish Mr. Dodson and his fellow Scouse pugilists every success in their future endeavors and I unreservedly apologize to anyone I may have offended with my ill chose remarks. Yours a very contrite, Illuminatus
a very eloquent, sarcasm riddled response my friend!! however you have managed to neatly sidestep the points i was trying to make, the insinuation from yourself being that my problem with you was somehow related to the fact that tony dodson is a fellow scouser. it isn't just you.infact plenty of people seem to come into the british forum with nothing constructive to say when talking directly to(ironically) the very people who are the life and soul of the very sport you purport to follow no matter where they happen to reside in the uk.
