Was there ever a serious attempt to match Pacquiao with Raheem?

    Pac fights the best! Unless...

Pac avoids slick fighters. JMM is slick as hell and look at the results? Add speed to that mix? Pac wanted no parts of that.

No. Pac's rule is generally not to fight the man, but the man who lost to the man.

No, Arum matched Raheem with Freitas, and Raheem lost a controversial decision. It was BS that Arum wouldn't match Raheem with Pac first, before rematching Morales, and Pac, but Raheem, should have brought his A game against Freitas. Had Raheem gotten the nod against Freitas, Arum still wouldn't have matched them, he wasn't about to let another one of his potential cash cows get outboxed by a slick guy again. It is the same reason why Arum steered clear of Juan Guzman, at the time, who was undefeated and slicker than Raheem was.

LoL The Morales fight wasn't even a fight. Pac would have destroyed Raheem.

this quote is as ******ed as it gets. so morales, barreara and marquez are all just plain brawlers? forget these 3 they are levels below guzman and raheem never mind that raheem is a lightweight back then and lost instantly after pac-morales3.

Barrera, Morales were past their prime fighters pure and simple. And at 130 pounds Pac has fought Morales 3 times after Morales lost a fight 3 times. At 130 pounds Pac fought a past prime coming off a lost barrera. Marquez was the only real fighter that pac fought at 130 pounds and mostly alot of ppl even at ringside reporters thought marquez beat pacquiao. Guzman back then at 130 pounds imo would have beaten Pacquiao. Guzman style at 130 pounds would have been a nightmare to pacquiao. And marquez a slick fighter? Man ive seen it all.
