Lets name some boxers currently and in the past that have underrated resumes, e.g. salido, mccall, zivic, arbachakov, glen johnson, kalambay etc.:thumbsup
People often talk about Mike McCallum and the big names he missed out on (the Fab 4). His resume, without them, is pretty ****ing good. Kalule Jackson McCrory Kalambay Curry Graham Collins Watson Toney Jones
Michael Nunn. He's always a "what could have been", but he still racked up some impressive wins and performances during his short stay at the top. Solid wins over Iran Barkley and Juan Roldan, and he also destroyed and dominated Sumbu Kalambay and Frank Tate. A solid resume by contemporary standards, in my opinion. Obviously he falls short because he would lose and fall into obscurity, but Nunn faced quality opposition from the word go.
Julio Cesar Chavez He's accused of padding his record with no-names, but he still managed to fight the best his weight-classes had to offer and won more often than not. Ruben Castillo, Roger Mayweather, Juan La Porte, Rocky Lockridge, Jose Luis Ramirez, Hector Camacho, and Greg Haugen would all be title holders today. Likewise, Taylor and Rosario would be considered outstanding champions. Rosario would stop JMM at 135lbs, in my opinion.
