You know the guy in your avatar is really Armenian and not originally Italian, right?

Are the Magdaleno brothers Italian? I've seen some of their fights, they've been exciting.

None. There are currently no relevant Italian fighters in the professional ranks at the moment.

This guy, Andrea Di Luisa (go to 3:30 for the opening bell)
    [yt]rq2nPDkprsU#t=216s[/yt]

...is fighting this guy - Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye - on Friday.
    [yt]5ooukoiwVwk[/yt]

(note that one has a ****ing vicious right hand...and the other one doesn't respond too well at all to that same particular punch from a lesser hitter...in fact he was quite a mess and lucky to survive... :hey)

They're both Italian, and are former Italian super middleweight champs. They will be competing for the vacant European super middleweight title.

FYI: The guy Di Luisa destroyed in half a minute flat there, Roberto Cocco - he's a common opponent. Ali Ndiaye won a close 10 round decision over him.

Damn, dude. Harsh. Maybe true. They're definitely not one of the top countries when it comes to producing a slew of world class talent, but...

They've got Leo Bundu... (welterweight champ of Europe)

Frag & Branco are about to do the mambo italiano for the WBC Silver title @ cruiserweight. :-(

Spada sucks, in that he has one of the most excruciating drying-paint styles to watch in boxing history...but he's always managing to get himself ranked for shots at some bull**** minor title or another...

Uh...I'm grasping at straws now...Brunet Zamora? I guess, he technically got a draw against Mosquera in a bid for the interim WBA 140lb title and remains undefeated (although I had it 117-111 for Mosquera and really don't understand how he got screwed in his own home town...)

I'm expecting him to knock Ndiaye out in a couple of days. :good

However, Ali Ndiaye has improved a bit in the years since hanging on for that scary SD win against Demchenko. He actually has a style somewhat reminiscent of Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam - but like HNN he looks his best when he's coming forward throwing endless combos with abandon at smaller guys...

If it goes the distance it might be a Ndiaye win, but he'll have to last twelve rounds and I just don't think he can with a beast like ADL.

Giacobbe Fragomeni. 42 but still a very good fighter. He is fighting on November 25th verses Silvio Branco, Another good veteran.

EDIT: and as IB said, Andrea Di Luisa is a great italian up and comer.

Silvio Branco is fighting Giacobbe Fragomeni for the "vacant" WBC "silver" cruiserweight title this month. They're old as hell and I can't say they are exciting. But I dunno of any Italians closer to getting a title.

edit: I swear sometime ESB can be frustrating at times. The time you take to write something down and 2 people post the same info before you  :D

:lol:Yea, may have been a little blunt and tactless.

I didn't even know Frag and Branco were still active.

Thanks for the videos, I'd heard of Di Luisa once before but never had seen him fight.:good

Hey, Watch Frago's fights with Erdei ( Lost close Decision ) and Wlod ( Draw, TKO loss ). Both are proof that age isn't as big of a factor you are making it.
