How do you rate Arturo Gatti? I know he wasn't an ATG but he was a three weight division champion (IBF superfeatherweight, WBC Light welterweight and IBA welterweight)
He was a action fighter who was fun to watch but is a notch or two below a hall of fame level fighter
Skill wise he was 6/10 at best. He was never going to compete with ODLH or FMJ. He's maybe the greatest Blood and guts Warrior we've ever seen. Value for money he makes any P4P list. A cult hero type boxer, who earned the living that his heart deserved.
I rate him 3 or 4 cause he was a good fighter but never was a very good or great fighter. When he fought the elite like Oscar and Mayweather? He lost in a beat up fashion in which gatti didnt win atleast 1 round before being tko by both of them. Gatti was clearly a blood and guts warrior and put on great fights but he never beaten a fighter that was very good.
