Andrew Selby makes it to the olympics

    It appears that Khalid Yafai has failed to make the weight so Selby is going to the Olympics. That's what's being reported on twitter anyway....

    Yeh, they fought yesterday, best of 3. Selby won the first bout. They were scheduled to box again today. It's live on BBC 2 at 2:30pm. However, it isn't going to happen now. Yafai's out.

    ah that's a disappointment. I was looking forward to watching it on the box today.
    I guess Yafai will flip over to the pros now.

    Hurt his hand (no cast)

    Didnt get time to get his weight down cause of the time having it checked out etc.

    John Inverdale said "What have you done been in MacDonalds?" Yafai did well not to tell him where to get off!!! Something dodn't seem right about the whole thing.

    Think either would have medal next year. Good luck to both in the future

    I'm struggling with that.

    If he's out cos of the injury then I can understand, but I dont see that being with a doctor stops him making weight.

    Selby is looks massive for the weight I wonder if we will see the same situation as Frankie Gavin in China? Hope not! He's an awesome fighter lets hope he brings the gold home for Wales.....sorry GB :)
