Fury stoppage premature?

Fury saved by the ref. Yet another black day for British boxing. Fury carrying that type of weight and going by his level at the minute is a very poor mans Dimitrenko.

Any top 20 HW destroys that version of Fury. Fury still has a long way to go to be considered a true top 50 rated boxer.

Compared to Craig McEwan stoppage, there was little wrong in tonights stoppage. He looked shakey getting up and would probably been hit clean on the jaw unconsious next shot.

 

No debate. Fixed stoppage by Ainglish ref. They were afraid Pajkic would come back in the next round and put Fury on his arse permanently.

He was done. Fury would have dropped him again with next half punch he clipped him with.

12 months ago that stoppage would have passed with barely a comment, at the moment though it seems to be a lot of peoples favorite whinge and every fight that end without a decapitation is pounced on.

 

He was going down for a third time and the ref had the choice of letting a fighter take a few more punches or to stop the fight. Pajkic blew himself out in the first two rounds with the pace he was fighting.

Fury needs to tighten up his defense big time. The crowd at the back of the hall could see Pajkic's telegraphed right hand. How Fury walked onto that is beyond careless.

Fury can be hurt but his powers of recovery after taking a big shot are second to none.

Fury took a flush shot & hopped back up. Pajkic got clubbed around & was all over the place, it wasnt the worst stoppage you'll ever see

Fury wasnt well prepared & it showed, Pajkic couldnt miss with the right hand but Fury wasnt saved. He got up off his arse & fought back.

He is young & he has flaws but he is fun

 

Nah bollocks mate, the stoppage was premature. 12 months ago? What on here? On this forum? Couldn't tell ya but that was a poor stoppage. We ain't talkin about two 3 fight novices here (despite their obvious lack of ability) and Nevan wasn't dead on his feet by any stretch of the imagination. The fight had potential...lacked in quality but had potential and should have gone on....even if it was only for a few more seconds.

 

Should have let him get to the end of the round for sure. He would have still had a real chance given the break between rounds. Fury needs to start improving quick or someone is going to knock him out.

Chisora didnt beat him because he wasnt good enough, Price hasnt fought no one so get that into your thick skull, Fury has quite a few good names now, the bloke tonight was undefeated, your a keyboard warrior.
I like Fury at least he brings excitement to the division alot more than Price does.. If Price is so good why doesnt he step up ..

 

I don't buy this not prepared malarky. Firtha (who?) had him on ***** street only a few months ago and caught him with the same shot, so not only does he not improve but he also comes into this fight in a disgraceful shape. FFS he's 6'9, there really is no excuse for being that fat, he must be allowed about 5000 calories a day anyway with that frame.

Make no mistake about it, with fair reffing a nobody like Dimitrenko destroys Fury with ease by KO. Fury will struggle against any top 50 opponent as he stands, and he doesn't seem to be taking it serious so I doubt the improvements that he requires will come.

He is going tohave to stay at the Sexton, Harrison, Zack Page and Rogan level for another couple of years yet it seems.

 

British boxing gets a bad name with stoppages like that! Both the fights had BS stoppages which will turn away viewers
