Compubox is two guys hired by HBO to count the punches during the fight with a keypad for each type of punch thrown. It is not some kind of magical sensor.

Marquez forgot that every round counts the same. He gave the first and twelfth away- if he doesn't do that, it's a different story with a different ending.

I don't have sympathy for a guy who leaves rounds on the table in a close fight, especially someone as seasoned as JMM. Round 12 alone was the difference between a loss and a draw for him. That's not a robbery by Pac, that's JMM giving the fight away on a silver ****ing platter. I thought Pac 115-113 was the right score, but it's a fight JMM could've won.

The fight wasn't even close. Pac's reputation just went down the toilet.

I gave the 12th to Marquez even with him easing off the gas pedal.

For all the stick he's getting about not selling out and leaving it all hanging out in the 12th - neither did Pacquiao.

Ignore Lampley's screeching about single left hands changing entire rounds, and some of Pacquiao's apparent rounds (including the 12th) start to dissipate into thin air.

The first round was completely indecisive, but if I had to pick a winner I would go with Pac... I'm pretty sure Pac landed more punches. Since I don't think anyone threw any noteworthy punches (nothing hard, or especially clean/crisp) in this round, wouldn't it make sense to score the round for the boxer who landed more? I'm a bit of a novice scoring fights, so can you explain why you think JMM was cheated out of the first round?

To the OP: when JMM gets 8-4 (conservative), it IS a godamn robbery, so just stop posting. Regardless of who you were rooting for, if you can't see at least 8-4 JMM, then you don't know boxing or are seriously delusional.
