According to CompuBox, Pacquiao landed 176 of 578 punches. Marquez connected on 138 of 436 punches, preferring, as in his first two fights, to counter punches. Pacquiao had a 117-100 edge in power shots.

This is a more objective view!

'Compubox' is essentially some dope pushing a button.

It also says Pacman landed more power shots then Marquez

No way jose. Not in the fight I watched.

definitely a more objective view. marquez however did land the cleaner shots. but as u can see from both of their faces. pacquiaos were more effective. the hardest thing jmm hit pacquiao with was with his head

Are there any round by round compubox numbers? I had a close fight for Pac, but I'm really confused at the claims of robbery. If Pac clearly landed more punches (and more power punches), how does anybody get JMM easily winning the fight? I thought JMM won many of his rounds decisively, but Pac seemed to outland JMM in all of those close rounds... but I would really like to see the round by round numbers to be sure.

I really think the compubox is bull****. There was one particular round where I clearly saw marquez laying it on him, and hbo gave compubox numbers to pacquia. Although I saw Marquez winning, I don't consider it a robbery. But hbo is clearly biased. **** them.

Marquez corner should not have told him he was winning the fight.

So all of a sudden CompuBox is the greatest thing since sliced bread now that it works in Manny's favor. There was no KD this time, so CompuBox is the best thing they're going to use now even though they've downplayed it countless times before.

I like to score my fights on a round by round basis, now by compubox which is useful sometimes, but it didn't seem accurate in this fight

Didn't seem accurate? That's putting it a bit lightly, brother.

If William Tell was about as accurate as CompuBox was tonight, he'd have a higher ranged kill tally than Simo Hayha.

Compubox is highly inaccurate. In the Angulo vs Kirkland fight, it ridiculously had Angulo throwing only 75 punches when it was closer to 150 in the first round. You can't ever count on it.

HBO is responsible for compubox?? I didn't know that. Seems like a very bad idea... clear conflict of interest if that's true since HBO clearly wants Pac-Mayweather to occur. This should really be done by an independent entity.

Compubox is two guys hired by HBO to count the punches during the fight with a keypad for each type of punch thrown. It is not some kind of magical sensor.
