It frustrates me watching Fury. I would really love to know what he does in camp leading up to a fight. Having seen his career unfold on ITV and more recently Channel 5 I can't help but think, will he ever learn ? I don't hate or even dislike the guy, I don't know him and would prefer to see him do well but he seems to make the same mistakes in each fight and looks terribly out of shape. He's a boxer, it's his job, he should be in shape for a fight. His posture would improve, the power he generates in shots would be greater and his stamina would be far better. By seeking the right advice and working out to the full, giving 100% would improve him greatly.
Fury is really good, was just caught big a punch from a 232 lbs HW. Yeah I admit he was rocked by a 247 lbs Hw Firtha in the previous fight. But thats a big hw. What about Tyson taking punches from John Mcdermott over 19 rounds and not going down? Look at Mcdermotts destruction of English Hw Larry Olubamiwo in 1 minute 15 seconds. Fury took all of Mcdermotts bombs with out going down. David Price has a weaker chin than Fury. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjqYAVRCe3E[/ame]
Grade A china, no question. Like others have said, he's the British Tye Fields. If a featherfisted journeyman could put him on his ass, only a matter of time before he gets KTFO.
I think its more to do with shocking defense than a glass chin. his reactions when he gets hit are priceless (see the Firtha fight)
