http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/1...ld-com-he-s-finished-with-wwe-full-update.php Opinions? :huh I can't say I'm that bothered he didn't exactly set the world alight in WWE. I wonder if any other pro-wrestling stars are thinking about making the crossover. I know that the Undertaker likes MMA.(And boxing) :yep
He has decent wrestling skills though I think? Or was that just bull**** I heard? Anyway you cant knock a man for trying.
Im more interested in WHY his left the WWE and why Vince has seen fit to let him go? This doesnt bode well for the WWE at all. There roster is already ridculously thin already and Lashly was touted as a fan favoruite and being groomed for future stardom. Problem is his mike skills and in ring personality were garbage. He has great wrestling credentials but his chances of being succesful in MMA are slim. His on a boat load of HGH and steroids same as Lesnar was and doenst really offer much more other than what Lesnar currently offers MMA.
left because wwe treated her girlfriend like ****. he'll be back some time from now. he'll realize he won't earn much anywhere else
left on his own accord. And technically hes not gone. He wants out and says hes finished. He still needs to appeal his contract and be released.
Make that around 170 - 180. His put on at least 100lbs from when he was training some time back at the kickboxing academy and OVW long before he went to the WWE.
Scurla, I'm guessing you're a little misinformed about American college wrestling. So here's a primer for ya; Lashley was a 177lb champ in the NAIA, Lesnar was a Division 1-AA champ at 286lbs in the NCAA Division 1-AA. In descending order of competition it goes like this, NCAA 1-AA (Where almost all American Pro Athletes come from) NCAA 1-A NCAA 2 NCAA 3 NAIA Most people in the USA don't even know the NAIA even exists, the athletes probably have to share jock straps. Lesnar went 50-2 in Division 1, his first loss came in 1999 to Stephen Neal 3-2 in the finals of the NCAA championships. In the next few MONTHS Neal went on to win the National title, Gold at the Pan-Am games and Gold at the World Championships (as in best in the world). On February 3rd, Neal will be starting at Right Guard for the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. No comparison.
Thanks for the info.Im aware he wrestled at 170lbs +. But my point wasnt about his wrestling. It was about what he brings to MMA which like Lesnar in my opinion isnt much. Yes Lesnar is a gifted athlete, yes his a HOF NCAA wrestler, yes his as strong and as powerful a bigman can get, but the reality is that all he has.Its not that much to compete on an elite level in MMA but it is a good start. Its ironic that Neal went on to play for the Patriots. When Lesnar tried out with the Vikings he got cut.
Well he never actually got cut, he was asked to play in Europe to develop his skills but he said to hell with that.
