I enjoyed it very much. I like Manny, but wanted to see Marquez win it because I think he's under appreciated and deserves one last run in the spotlight before he retires as a ring legend.

Pac has had an amazing run and he's set for life, so I wouldn't have felt bad seeing him lose.

That being said, I agreed with Lederman in most rounds, except the 8th and 12th, which I thought Marquez won, especially the 8th...which I thought Marquez dominated.

Still, at the end, I had Marquez down 1 or 2 points. There were a lot of close rounds that could have gone either way.

I figured Pac would win if the decision was close because everyone seems to love him so much.

Was Marquez robbed? I don't think so.

Was Pacquaio the clear winner? I don't think so.

I think Marquez landed the cleaner and more effective shots in the fight, but Pac appeared busier.

Personally, I tend to score a round for a guy who controls the action, even if its with defense or by frustrating the opponent.

I thought Marquez had Pac frustrated most of the fight, was able to hurt him and kept Pac from ever really unleashing a dominant offense.

Exactly. There was no clear winner or loser between the two.
Only the people, the boxing community and crazy fans who were expecting something are the losers of this fight.

it was like watching a low scoring Baseball game the fight was OK and thats about it. It was a very close fight but only due to the limited amount of all out exchnages. Marquez needed more offense, he needed to prove his case. I believe he failed to do that and believe the 11th rd was crucial Marquez comes out like a guy who is way ahead and just needs to stay away?????and he does nothing in the 12 he needed to finish strong didnt and it cost him.

    I really enjoyed the fight.

Great tactical battle with enough exchanges sprinkled in throughout to heighten the intensity.

I watched the fight with 4 friends and we all felt the same way.

it was a decent fight I think.

the 2nd fight was the best though, from both a technical standpoint and action standpoint it had more to offer from both fighters.

the 1st fight was the most dramatic.

slightly slow start, grew immensely satisfied as Marquez started displaying masterful skills.

I did like the people I was with and the people present. They got good people in some places. They may not know the truth, but their heart is in the right place. You just have to get them to that point to where they beleive and you don't tranisition on the way over there.

But it was laid back. I figured it would be about 100% Marquez fans, but I was surprised because it wasn't. It was divided, and there were no boasting or innappropriate sneering at end, merely friendly banter that all enjoyed.

I'll just say that it was a good environment.

And on the television were two highly skilled, highly conditioned athletes, that didn't get paid to get punched, but realize that they may have to make a decision at some point to become aggressive, so that they can secure enough to win the fight.

And it's hard to say in this fight, but I will say Pac's shots looked to do the more damage, but Marquez seemed more consistent towards the end.

I will not say either man was out, and the probability of them running out of gas was low as each looked prepaired for 15 rounds at least.

It was a good performance by Marquez, but enough to steal the hearts of the fans of Pacquiao, or enough to convince the supporters of Marquez to dwell in disillusionment or speak or speak out with anger was minimal and in the case of my surroundings, it just didn't happen.

People overall, seemed to be content because the next fight is Mayweather vs Pacquaio, and even if Marquez did do enough to secure the win, he didn't do enough to secure the fans support because as Mayweather said, "Pacquiao, you're next."

Or did he say that? I don't even know. Don't even quote because honestly, I don't even know.

There is just too many ifs and buts to deal with around that ****, that I don't the see the point of me bein involved unless I want to go down to a level of disrespect.

So, anyway, it was a good fight, but each man probably didn't want to end their career on that fight and it showed, and nobody got hurt.

Good fight, Bad outcome. (Would pay my PPV money again)
Had we got the right decision (IMO) then I say great fight.

The end result brought me back down to reality real fast...
The business end of this sport. :/

Was every Pac Marquez fight a draw in retrospect? Perhaps...
