JMM is no different from what he was the last time they fought, if ever, he's older and tries to brawl..but generally, pretty much the same...footwork, counterpunching (still one of the best), ring consciousness..etc..its still the same JMM... the same can actually be said about Pac, added some right hooks and some tempo variations..he sometimes makes it fast, sometimes slow unlike before where he charges all fight long! With both fighters having pretty much the same attributes they have since they last fought, the possibility of a draw is still there. JMM will outbox Pac with majority of the rounds, but he will also fall down a couple of times and that will equate his advantages. However, one advantageous factor that is in Pacs favor is how his body grew. He is now the naturally bigger man! And with this, even if JMM has a solid chin, the possibility if him getting knocked out now is higher than the last time they fought. JMM is definitely the better boxer, but i dont think it works with Pac. (it will only take him to a DRAW)

PAC by KO (lets not leave this to the judges)

MAB may have gotten the better of some exchanges , but he was getting hurt the more, he was feeling it more that Pac did. Pac was getting hit but he could go on and on, MAB cant thats why he chose not to. good for him, he lasted the full 12.

MAB didn't engage often enough in the rematch because he knew Pac will knock him out if he gets him pissed off...which almost happened in the eleventh when a scorching Pacquiao went on marauding mode connecting with several big shots, the last of which was that overhand left that opened a ghastly cut on Barrera and staggered him back so badly he almost went down.

That's why Barrera didn't engage often enough even though he might have looked good in those few occasions that he did, that's what cut the third fight with Morales so short, and that's what's Marquez is worrying about now--the marauding mode Pacquiao has tremendously improved on with his hooks.

:hi:Tnx... its good to be here. This is loads better than other boxing forums I've been into.

As for you reply. I wasn't actually talking about Pac going technical on JMM. All of my points on my previous post pertains to Pac brawling or pressuring JMM. Like I said on my previous post Pac is a different type of Pressure Fighter because while he brawls, he also moves like a boxer. He pressures his opponent but he's doing that with the fast movements of a boxer. This is evident in most of his pro fights. The Morales trilogy is a great example of it. Because of that style, he was able to win majority of exchanges with Erik, who is widely known as a great slugger/brawler.

THAT style is what Im talking about that would eventually overwhelm Marquez. I don't think Pac's going to fight JMM's fight come fight night. While Pac was successful in outboxing MAB, I'd expect Pac and Roach to be smart enough to realize that JMM is not MAB and on March 15th they will be facing a Master Boxer. Pac would probably get into a little bit of outboxing for a couple of rounds but for the majority of the rounds I think he will be using the style he's most comfortable with: brawling/pressuring.

Pressure fighting with fast feet, body and head movements would give Pac a better chance of beating JMM as it would allow him to land more shots and conversely JMM would have a bit of trouble timing and countering Pac. Especially now since Pac has better movement and seemed to have gotten faster since their last fight. Then add his power, explosiveness, improved combinations and right hand and I see JMM having real trouble here.

Also, I don't see how doing better combinations and developing his right hand would diminish his power and the ability to overwhelm his opponents with it. I mean last time I checked even with those added abilities, Pac still had no problem knocking out Morales(twice), Velasquez and Solis.

As for the "small" margin Pac has over JMM. I still disagree. JMM has not shown the quickness, speed, strength and explosiveness that Manny has. Its as simple as that. JMM relies more on his counter-punching, combinations and hand speed to win, in other words he relies more on his skills. JMM DOES NOT have the natural talents that Pac has, c'mon now you and I both know that this is a no brainer.

1)All I know is that Pac is now a better fighter NOW than what they fought the first time
2)If we talk about their last fights.
I was impressed with Pac's win over Mab than the boring win of JMM over Juarez. It's no BRAINER that Mab did not mix it up with Pac coz he wants to end the fight with his feet on the ground
    3) Pac will do everything to WIN the fight and it's also NO BRAINER than Pac is MORE EXCITING to WATCH than JMM.

For the sake of arguement there the fight of pac happens to be the same day that JMM fights somebody whom do you think MORE boxing fans will watch?

MAY the best man win! I really hope SOMEBODY wins by a KO to erase all doubts.

For the record, when what the last time that JMM won by a KO.Sorry Divac I forgot coz I don't watch all his fights as much as you do?

    cheers!
    cheers!

Yes, may the best man win. I believe Marquez will win this fight and will have to work very hard to come up on top.

Yes, Pacquiao is an exciting brawler, but what does that have anything to do with this thread?

I also have to point out your bias regarding Pac, you were very impressed by the MAB rematch, while most of us thought it was a very dissapointing fight and most of the time boring. The Solis fight was also a let down in terms of excitement. The JMM/Juarez fight was not dull as some make it out to be, it had constant punching all the way to the end. I pointed out once already that most Pacquiao fans here look at everything Marquez does with disdain, which is very dissapointing that there is little respect for an elite fighter like JMM.

BTW, before Barrera and Juarez, JMM KOed Jimrex Jaca.

Nacho's prospect Abner Mares (15-0-0) is fighting pinnoy Diosdado Gabi (30-3-1) in the undercard.

Thats a big step up, I am really looking forward to this kid's fights.

I know Pac will be worried of getting hit everytime he misses that's why I'm not expecting him to be on the offensive as carelessly as he was in the first fight.

And on JMM . . . he'll be foolish if he takes the fight to Pacquaio because he knows very well that Pacquaio is very destructive against aggresive fighters . . . so like I said . . . it will be more of a chess match.

Both fighters will try not to lose early rounds . . . will work on a late K.O.:yep

thats a possibility...OR we will get Manny Pacquiao in the viscious physical shape that he was in the 3rd Erik Morales fight and he will come out guns blazing and if Pacquiao brings the fight Marquez will play his usual role as the counter puncher and this will be a war!

Juarez-JMM was a great fight. MAB-Pac was a shitty fight. Come on they dont even compare in terms of quality. Alot of people seem to forget that MAB has not been knocked out or down for a long time. And Juarez i dont think has ever even been knocked down. Those are two tough guys it would be a task for someone to just knock them out. However JMM did what he had to do to win almost every round of those fights.

Why didnt Pac knock MAB out??????
