Do you think Lesnar will defeat Mir? If yes, does he have a chance to become HW champ

I think he'll win. He has all the physical tools to be the champion, of course. The man is a monster.

 

I think mentally, Lesnar is far more stable than Kerr, he's also not a drug addict, which helps anyones career.

 

Kerr was a top notch sub-wrestler as well though.

As to the question, yeah I think he can beat Mir, not exactly a big accomplishment, but can he become champ? I honestly don't believe so.

 

He will be good while it lasts and will obviously get extra pushes due to his fame but I can not see him being good enough for a world title. Mir has been brought in to be name and make Lesnar look good. How about Cro cop next?

I think Lesnar will beat Mir but that he'll eventually get subbed by the cream of the crop of bjj. (Mir isn't one of em even though he's very experienced) , anyway , Lesnar is not a freak show , and his wrestling is amazing , so he's got a good chance to beat Mir.

I think he can beat Mir, but that is more an indictment of where Mir has gone with his career rather than an endorsement of Lesnar. There is no reason someone with Frank's size and submission skill should lose to a guy in his second MMA fight, regardless of their physical tools. Even if Brock wins, I don't think you can comfortably annoit him the next big thing for these reasons.

 

After all the upsets in 07 I think anyone in MMA has a chance to beat anyone. As far as being chanpion. I doubt it. If you look at all the current champs they are all rounded fighter. Lesnar can only wrestle. i think he wont get very far.

 

The UFC Hvyweight Division sucks so much **** that its not out of the question.

 

That is vindictive of the HW scene in general. If you want to argue, most publications and websites have 7 of the top 10 HW's as UFC fighters (Randy,Fedor and Barnett, being the other 3)

This is really hard to predict, as far as the rest of Brock's career goes. Judging by the way that Mir has looked recently, I would say that Brock should be able to handle him without too much of a problem based on his wrestling skills, and ground and pound alone. However, we just don't know enough about Brock, and we haven't been able to study him enough to know just where he stands in the MMA game. For all we know, he can't take a shot... or he is clueless on submissions.... but then again, he may have trained his ass off for them, and be a beast in that department.

He has only had one fight, and that didn't show us anything other than he is willing to do it, and has the physical tools to be a great fighter. We pretty much already knew that from his college wrestling years. Now, his success in MMA is going to come down to what ELSE Brock can do, and how well Brock has developed in the other areas of the fight game, that he is going to have to deal with when all of the cards don't fall the right way for him.
