In Pac-EM I, AFTER the fight, there was a consensus among boxing experts and writers who won. Rightly so and that's EM. In Pac-JMM3, AFTER the fight, the house was divided - the reason is obvious, JMM did NOT do enough to win. After watching the fight I though JMM was ahead by 1-2 points. But after watching it again with no sound (no bs commentators and bs bias crowd), the score was actually the other way around or at least a draw. Bottom line: Some people loves warriors and some boxing judges loves a warrior. So if you want to win and take a championship on counterpunching and just waiting for your opponent to throw, you have to do more. I understand the passion of the Mexican Crowd being ass whipped by Pac for the last few years. But if they want to know the meaning of a convincing win, that is Pac-EM I! Pac-JMM3 is not robbery and ACCEPT it!
WRONG!!!! Manny was robbed. Morales made him wear pillow socks, poisoned his food and switch his shoes with a smaller size.
JMM matched(in the least) the same amount of convincing rounds Morales had against Pac. Only difference was, Pac was not yet the established "house-fighter"!:hat
As said by previous posters, there were many "close" rounds. So the difference really is Morales showed whose the man and he's being a warrior left no doubt on the judges. I personally think that most judges loves warriors but that's just me.
not for me, morales totally schooled pac. There was only 1 close round i think, not any rounds left to debate like the jmm-pac fight. It was the better and more convincing win for me
actually the house is not divided about 90% of people here think marquez won as do all the boxers that have been asked, most of the ringside press including the ring, primetime, freddie roach (regardless of what he said after-he knew they'd lost),on the ropes radio show and many filipinos have been reported to have given it to marquez too the MINORITY gave a draw and even less had pac winning.....those two blind guys in the front row had it 115-113 and 116-112 though
No rere the only reason the house is "divided" (more than 66% think Juan won) is because of the official decision If Morales lost in a split decision, the house would be divided also
Exactly. Marquez gets more credit for being evenly matched with Pacquiao then Morales, who actually BEAT him CLEARLY, and as in clearly, not even the *******s can argue that Pacquiao won.
The majority of members gave every close round to JMM just because he was the underdog. That is simply not how you score a fight. Pac clearly won.
You do not beat the champion by backing up and not throwing. JMM had a poor game plan and he lost because of it. I was impressed at how JMM made Pac look average, but I am not giving him a win just because he looked better than expected. You have to earn a win and JMM did not do that.
