    did Liston have a pending lawsuit before he was murdered for monies he did not receive for Liston/ clay 1

    Sonny died naturally of old age. He was nearly 76 when he fought Williams, for crying out loud. How long do you expect a brother to live?!

    No. Liston had long been resigned to the fact that the mob owned him. They got him off a few charges when he was young and was forever in their debt from then on. Like a lot of people his life was always going to end that way.
