Ugh..... Probably the 3rd one. It's absolutely way off, in probably the most one-sided of the three fights. Manny really didn't do anything other than miss and get hit with hard shots all night.
When you hear Roach saying between round 9 and 10 "We've got to knock this guy out" you just know the result is wrong. The HBO team didn't say one word about that comment
That pretty much says it all. A trainer with his experience and ability isn't going to say that if he thinks his man is ahead/level going into the last couple of rounds. I wouldn't buy the ''he's saying it to motivate his man'' line either, if anyone chose to use it. Pac was completely taken out of his game and had no answers, to be honest he did well to win the four rounds I gave him, Marquez put on an absolute masterclass.
I definitely don't think Marquez put on a masterclass. Sure he was comfortable but to me he still wasn't that dominant. It seem that people scored rounds against Pacquiao just because they expected him to do more. There were only about 5 rounds in the fight which were easy to score. The rest were very subjective.
Iv only just watched the fight so unfortunatly knew the result and all the **** thats come afterwards! Iv tried to be as objective as possible and scored it as i saw it. I have it 116-113 for Marquez. I dont think it was the great robbery people are saying as it was incredibly difficult to score but imo he was the clear winner especially of the middle rounds! I also scored the first round to pac which probably could of scored even as i did with the second round. (i do score even rounds)
I want to know whatever happened to "Ring Generalship" being a factor in scoring rounds. No matter who you thought won, how you scored each round and who was the aggressor - the fight was clearly, clearly on Marquez's terms and JMM took more of the opportunities afforded to him than Manny did. So a question to those "shading rounds to Manny through aggression" - should these have not been "shaded to JMM" for his generalship?
Those scores are a disgrace. MArquez was robbed in all 3 fights. Even Amir Khan thought Marquez had won.
7-5 JMM. i thought if he carried on where he left off in the 5th(his best round by far)he would of completely outclassed pac. a lot of the rounds were pretty close, pac was the aggressor, but JMM counted superb in most rounds
