115-113 pac or at best a draw... simply jmm was hesitant with engaging, and he left the building starting the 9th round...
Marquez landed cleaner shots. Pac was whipping on air and landing pat shots. Marquez won his round more clearly. You basically have to give Pac every swing round to make it a draw or 2 points win.
Marquez, and it was the most clear fight of the trilogy. I know I will probably be berated for being a Pac hater, but I had Marquez winning all 3 fights. Fight 1 (113-112 or 8-4 to JMM, including Pac's 3 knockdowns) Fight 2 (114-113 or 7-5 to JMM, including Pac's 1 knockdown) FIght 3 (116-113 to JMM, with an even round I would actually lean towards Marquez, but even if you gave it to Pac, it's Marquez's fight). And there's a thread a while back that said not only is Pac more great than JMM (which is true on accomplishments), but also the far better fighter. All you can say to that is: atsch Agenda much?
The only reasoning behind the judges scorecards was that every 50/50 round was given to the aggressor. Vegas judges always favor the guy on the front foot but Marquez deserved the victory IMO
Disappointing performance from Pacquaio. He was schooled by someone he was expected to manhandle, and he looked clueless and lethargic in the fight. Marquez fought a smart, technical fight, luring Pacquaio to his traps, and winning the exchanges more often.
Floyd Castillo I Pac Marquez III sometimes judges get it wrong after watching the fight back again, I think a draw was about right IMO, the stats show that Pac landed the most shots and I think that cos I was expecting Pac to dominate I didnt give him credit for the shots he did land was very close, JMM fought the perfect fight and Pac had no answers
You see Morrisey, Marquez has been fighting for the fans which is why he stood there twice previously vs Pacquiao and went punch for punch with him. I've always said that in both those two previous fights Marquez was still fighting at the end of rounds he was easily winning that most fighters would have held back and not fought the last minute of the round to give Pacquiao opportunities. This time more out of necessity ( because he's 38 and slower) the great Marquez limited his 4 and 5 punch combinations and reduced many to 2's and 3's. This third fight had Marquez fighting with more of a boxers mentality and not so much to castigate, and it limited Pacquiao's opportunities to be effective. Marquez could have done this the 2 fights previous and likely not lost a single round, but this guy fights for the enjoyment of you and me and like Pacquiao wants the fans to go home happy and talking about the fight. Knowing you're a Pacquiao fan, thanks Morrisey for keeping it real.:thumbsup
Take your rest now. You've been on board for the last 36 hours whining for Marquez non-stop. Nothing not even this poll can change the official decision. Get over it.
