If this were the 70s, and muhammad ali had just fought Joe Frazier, you'd all be saying how Ali is an overrated, no chin one dimensional hype job.

You are fair weather boxing analysts ... nobody is perfect, some people do have other peoples numbers, some of it is psychological, some of it is they are very strong in an area the other is weak in

Marquez has paquiaos number, and the judges have marquezs number

That said, it's not like Marquez is beating the crap out of or knocking down Paquiao.

If they fight again and he really wants the win, Marquez is going to have to go the man route and take it without any possible doubt or shut his crybaby ass mouth up and retire already

He is beyond overrated. He is a fraud. His wins are against old shot weight drained fighters whose one dimensional style suits Pacman. His hype is created by EPSN and HBO to get their door in the growing Asian market, he is has no substance and is a gutless talentless congressman. There is a reason why he avoided Raheem, Bradley, Mayweather and this rematch for so long. He is a one dimensional clown, he is basically Gatti on steroids

He has been thoroughly and brutally exposed by JMM and Mayweather will increase the humiliation and humble Pacman and the Philippines at once

Marquez is being horrible overlooked. He is an ATG. How long will it take for people on this forum to understand what styles mean to boxing, especially where talent level is at the highest level, such as with JMM, Pac and Floyd.
We cannot tell, and will never know, how Pac will do against Floyd unless they fight. This fight tells us nothing about that.
JMM and Floyd are both counterpunchers, Pac is an aggressor. JMM is much more prone to stop countering and fight when pressed than Floyd. He's also more willing to take a shot in order to land a good counter than Floyd.
Floyd is much more defensive minded, looking to slip and counter without getting hit. He won't take to land.
Who knows how that would go against Pac's aggression. He may end up getting outpointed for lack of landing.
Fighters have to fight each other to know what will happen.
JMM is an ATG. Give him credit.

Not in terms of what he can do. Its the media & fans perception of what he can do that's overrated.

I have been reiterating the point for a long time that Manny on the front foot is a completely different entity to Manny on the backfoot, and that a lot of his recent opponents have been the ones coming foward creating his offense. People told to me he had dramatically improved, but as I told them then, the Marquez rematch tells me different, as do the early rounds of the Cotto fight. Manny still has problems working his own openings on the front foot when someone tries to counter punch and bring him into the shots.

I think his wins over "much bigger fighters" are overrated.

Seriously Margarito?, Clottey? that version of Oscar?
His only solid win at these "higher" weights was against Cotto.

But his wins at 130 and 135 are still great.
