He was right. Margarito has a corner full of idiots.

No. No fight or glory is worth you losing an eye or being turned into a slobbering vegetable. I respect a guy who does it, but it isn't "smart" or "cool".

None of you are going to be signing up to feed his kids or wipe his ass in 10 years.

this dude realdeal is the proof of a guy who has never boxed talking **** and being condescening towards someone who has sacrificed his life and health fo boxing. in other words dont take this cowardice and bull**** serious. its easy to be critical of someone whe you dont understand or go though even the slightest details of what they go through.

As a Cotto fan I don't see him being a coward or a quitter. I think he just answered as honest as possible... Anyone can say "f:/&; that I'll die in the ring for victory or glory" but it doesn't mean that's the right thing to do... Yes, in the fans eyes is what we want to hear but in reality we all know that their families and health are more important...

Margo is just trying to get every mental advantage he can for this fight but as I saw and heard him nervous about the pictures I honestly think that there's doubt in his mind about his win a few years back...

And this is about where this -obviously troll- thread should end.

  5. No idiot... he is the only fighter with a BRAIN. All that fake bravado BS is for low IQ savages.

Big difference between fighting for your family in an alleyway and bouncing around a ring in satin shorts and red leather mittens trying to ACT like a fackin gladiator... STFU little kid. You would not even dare talk back to Cotto on twitter let alone "die in a ring."

Who is the realdeal561 guy and why is he so ****ing stupid? Cotto answered the question honestly and intelligently; what more could you ask for? You question his heart? Go watch some of his fights, his heart should never be questioned.

But it is easy to ask someone to lay down their life for boxing when you aren't a boxer. It is easy to say that sacrifice is a requirement when you are completely disconnected from the sport.

    What a moron.

In Cotto's defense, I'm confident that he won't be saying that if indeed he has no kids.

Cotto has a lot of heart; he showed that plenty of times. He also know when to quit to prevent permanent damage. There were lots of injured fighters; some died in the ring as result of prolong, unnecessary punishment. Have you lift a finger to help those guys?
If resistance is futile, it is ok to retreat and regroup.

Good post , ¿ what's the point of " dying in the ring " when you have a family to look after ? , you have to know your limits as a boxer and more importantly as a human being and continuing fighting when you are clearly being outboxed in a match is no " courage " it's plain stupid and good boxers know that , you as a fighter must know when it's not your night and stop it if nescesary , you should not be ashamed of yourself as long as you gave 100% before you stoped , you should recognize that it wasn't your night and go back to training harder than before so you can have your revenge in the future , after all that's the real beauty of boxing ( IMO ) , Cotto is not 22 years old anymore , he's a seasoned fighter with plenty of battles behind him , he doesn't need to " prove " anything , he has a life beyond boxing

Why do we need him to admit it for? Did you not see him cowardly take two knees in front of his fans, wife and son? He willingly allowed Margarito to sodomize his pride and honour, while losing all self respect when he imprinted his knees twice on the mat on that faithful day,

Cotto is the epitome of a coward

Why did he take the second knee for? Wasn't even hit

How could anyone question Cotto heart after the battles he had in the ring so far? Dude is a warrior who just happens to think about the finer things in life, which happens to be his own life and his family. Any human being with compassion for life itself could understand where he's coming from.

Could it be because he knew he had enough. That's like asking why did Gatti corner stop the fight when he was fighting Mayweather or why did De la Hoyle give up when he was fighting Pacquiao? The answer is, to much punishment is being handed out and enough is enough. I seriously doubt that's the definition of a coward.
