Greedy reptile Arum would love to get more $$$ off Marquez for one last 'settle it' fight but for fight fans the world over the issue has already been settled: Marquez>Pacquiao. Marquez has the respect of the boxing world, he can drop down to 140 fight Morales in what would still be a huge clash and then possibly even a fight with Khan which would get him big $$ then call it a day. Doing this would leave just 1 opponent for Manny to face and that would be the disgraceful bottlejob Timid Tim Bradley.
I agree, Marquez shouldn't waist his time in a 3rd time just to be denied credit AGAIN if he feels he already won. Waste of effort. He can keep adding onto his legacy at 140 or 135 without having to fight 4 people at once.
Economics dictates fights, not sentimentality. If the money is right, Marquez's camp will likely accept a 4th fight.
I couldn't agree more, reject it and fight Morales. Bob was licking his chops when Manny got the bogus decision, it was so obvious how happy he was to not have to fight Mayweather now, he made it ever so clear. So I guess Manny now fights the feather fisted Bradley, oh that will be a hit. Yawn.
I wouldnt blame him. What more can he do? he fought 3 disciplined fights vs. Pacquiao, won almost twice as many rounds, and still never got his victory. The powers that be (Arum, Las Vegas boxing commision, sanctioning bodies...)wont allow it. Manny needs Marquez more than Marquez needs Manny because we all know who bested who
Yep. JMM is the true welterweight champ, and everyone knows it except for a few delusional Pac nut-huggers. He's already beaten Pac twice, maybe 3X. Move on to something important, & screw racoon-face.
In the eyes of the Majority he won, Hell. Even Manny knows Marquez won. I think that's enough for him. Props to him. Arum must die.
Agreed. The boxing world already knows he was the true winner this past saturday night. It aint worth it to work so hard again in training and put on another brilliant performance just so he could get shafted in the scorecards again and in the process make that peice of **** of a scumbag Arum make more loot off of him. Marquez is better than that, and we the true boxing fans are behind you, campeon. You won this past Saturday Night and the boxing world knows it! This content is protected
Does anyone know Marquez' promotional situation after the fight? I know Arum had an option on him if he won but not sure what the deal was for a loss. Anyway, Marquez likely wouldn't be able to stop him and he's proven now to be the much better boxer so there is no need for a rematch IMO. He should go back to Golden Boy and fight Khan.
