I read that Top Rank had put a clause in the contract of Pacquiao vs Marquez III, that should JMM win an automatic rematch clause could be triggered.
Leading to JMM recieving a guaranteed $10 million for Pacquiao vs Marquez IV.
This seems to be the same figure being brandished around by the media currently, even though he 'Officially' didn't win the fight.
Does anybody know if there is any truth in this...?
However I'm assuming that Pacman's market value to Fight Floyd Mayweather would have diminished significantly coming off the back of a loss to Marquez, leaving Bob Arum & Top Rank in a weaker position when negotiating with the Mayweather fight.
    42 - 0 =)

Seriously now. I want a 4th fight. Marquez fans dont want a 4th fight because they know JMM would never be able to stop MaNNY. The best he could do is to make the fight even and making it controversial. And also there are more chances for Pac stopping JMM than JMM stopping Pac.

Moral victory over Pac, or not, C. Who would pony-up PPV ta see JMM, who looked no more than a sparring partner for Mayweather the first time?

Here in Mexico that would be huge, 100,000 plus would fill the stadium, it would generate a lot of money

JMM's guaranteed purse is $5 million in the 3rd fight (possibly takes home a total of $10 million including PPV and gate receipt shares).

If there's a 4th fight, JMM will be guaranteed $10 million.

JMM will think it over in the coming days.

He has made enough money with the Floyd and Pacquiao fights to last a lifetime and more. Now he has purses from over 50 fights. No point in the fight.

Marquez has big time fights at 140lbs if he wants them.

He should just forget about Top Rank and their dirty ****. He won the trilogy in the eyes of ALL REAL boxing fans.

    - Except this is complete BS. Absolute fantasy numbers, input by 2 clowns sitting in the exact same ringside position, bought & paid for by Bob Arum.

Try counting the true "landed" shots yourself, and it will become clear to you.

It is very clear on tv and on ringside that Manny landed more Punches per Round (Except for the 4 rounds that Marquez clearly and cleanly dominated Pac which creates an illusion that Manny lost due to those 4 rounds). The best that Marquez could have done is a draw nothing more.

It will depend on whether he wants the money or not. Marquez won't be getting 10 million guaranteed anywhere else. It's a lot of money to pass up for someone who's never had massive purses. Logic says it will be retirement or a 4th fight. He'd be a fool for taking fights equally as tough (Rios, Guerrero, Maidana, Khan) for 1/5th the money, if that.
