I'm not saying they would surely win, also Marquez is a special fighter so I'm not comparing them to Marquez. Lastly none of these fighters would be able to implement JMM full game plan due to styles and other factors, but after watching old man Mosley make Pac look silly at times using the blueprint it gives me a valid excuse to make this thread. 1. Floyd 2. Khan 3. Guerrero 4. Ortiz 5. Jones
If Robert Helenius can control the distance using his long jab and continually circles Pacquiao the way Marquez and Mosley did, I think he would give Manny a lot of problems. And he definitely has the power to put Pacquiao away once he lands his power punches. Am I wrong?
1. yes 2. no 3. Perhaps 4. no 5. no I'm not saying those guys could not cause Pacquiao various problems, but they're not all capable of employing Marquez's tactics because they're not Marquez. Marquez is one of the best fighters in the world. Let's not get carried away here joyboys
Legally no. Illegally: 1. Perhaps 2. No 3. No 4. Not a chance in hell 5. No This content is protected
Their is pretty much no chance Ortiz and Jones can box in a style comparable to Marquez imo, b0oth would be destroyed . Floyd can beat him doing what he does and Guerrero would make a good fight out of it. Again with khan, I cant see him boxing like Marquez but if timed right he has a chance to beat him, not yet though, he still makes mistakes and isn't composed enough although I believe he is getting there.
The Ortiz mention is just bizarre. What has ever given anyone the slightest impression that he could put on a disciplined performance like that?
Floyd and Martinez would def counterpunch the hell out of Pac. The rest i don't think stand much off a chance. Maybe Alvarez, but that fight is not an option at this point. I thought Casamayor could gave him many troubles at the time Pac was at 135. But he wisely jumped to 140 quickly to stay away from Casa and Marquez.
All of them NO, Only person to beat him on the list is Floyd (not after the JMM fight, saying it a long time), Floyd would not do it the way JMM did, floyd isn't as fast going backwards as JMM
I'd like to see more of Jones. He did impress me and showed he does have adaptability and wont do the same.mistake twice. Would like to see him tested by a Berto or Ortiz before judging to see where he might stand. If he gets real good at it and makes his jab into his main weapon Jones will be difficult for anyone to beat. Needs to seriously watch some Tommy Hearns. Floyd's specialty is breaking down fighters. Yes Khan knows Manny well from sparring but even tho a fight wont happen Khans defense and fast starts comeback to bite him in the ass when hes fighting elite fighters. No Guerrero has a herky jerky style and even tho a big strong guy he doesnt seem ready for 140 and he cant make the same mistakes he did at 130-135 because he'll pay dearly for them here 147. No Ortiz. Physically guys a powerhouse, but mental midget. Needs to mature or he aint goin no where. No Jones seems the most promising to me other than Floyd. I mean, no disrespect to the current crop of ww's but half of them dont have a decent jab. At least Jones is the more textbook and once he starts jabbing like if his life depended on it deadly rights and combos follow. At this point I still think not ready but to me has the most potential. We need another Hearns. No
thumbsup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1Ug3EJOl3M&feature=player_detailpage#t=2127s Way too much range, and lateral movement. Plus a consistent jab, speed and power. Just needs to work on defence more and stamina
