The big 5 promoters - Who is best placed to pick up the stars of 2012?

    Hennessy from no TV deal losing Froch has bounced back big time with the biggest viewing figures from the channel 5 audience. Fury is the big star, but he also has the coup of Brand Eubank.

    Frank ****** now has endless dates for his stable on Boxnation and will easily be the buziest promoter. My only query is the viewing figures once boxnation has the paywall. Can the next Ricky Hatton come from Boxnation?

    Eddie Hearn - The biggest player on Sky with the coups this year - Froch & Brook. The most days on Sky.

    Hatton - Sky, Eurosport & Internet coverage. A pretty good stable. Quigg can be a world star

    Maloney - A solid promoter. Sky only. A not bad stable

    Boxnation is an interesting one because although it is brilliant for boxing fans with the amount of boxing they are showing I do wonder how many casual fans are going to pay £10 for it.

    This will then of course have a knock on effect on the fighters themselves. All of ******s current stars have had their reputation built on sky.

    People only know boxers on Boxnation because of Sky, once they are alone to build up on a new subscription channel it will not work.

    Hennesey for the coverage, Hearns for the rewards!

    its got to be hennessy or hearn, with frank then hatton/maloney, like you say it all depends on how boxnation goes

    I don't think there'll be big money flying around, and rightly so.

    Ideally they'll be on three grand a fight like everybody else for four rounders, but it'll obviously be more.

    £100k a fight though for the likes of DeGale and Gavin was ridiculous.

    What if Anthony Joshua struck gold?

    If I were advising him I was say Eddie Hearn. Lots of Sky dates and big overseas connections and chances of big undercards.

    Hearn would be my choice anyway. Currently getting the best results from the Sky format, and is doing it for the right reasons.

    There's a lack of security with Five - the same lack of security you always have with terrestrial TV. It is a great platform, but they could go cold on Boxing at any time.

    I have my doubts about Boxnation creating stars or even securing subscribers long term.
