I showed my pops the fight and he's a Pac fan, he didn't have an opinion on who won, he just enjoyed it. After the fight he told me "yeah it was a great fight, I heard Marquez is mad about the decision. Why don't they just fight again?" He's pretty old so I understand the era that he grew up in and the the guys back then fought 6 or 7+ times a year even on the top level. Today, these ****ers only fight twice a year (and one dude only once a year or year and a half) so the opponent selection gets argued over and over and wins have much more weight in them and there's little room for solidifying who's really better than who or whatnot, and if they do fight again, they're getting much older each time. Why don't they just fight again a month from now? Well it needs "proper promotion"... it's all about money, and when I think boxing money I think Arum and then I'm just pissed off. :twisted:
Yes majority of it all is a crock of ****. With crooked deals. Not that its a new phenomenon. Been happening since the start of boxing. We all know boxing needs a ladder system like other sports. Tennis would be a good example. But then again if your 205 you have to fight someone 245-255 ... More than just one thing needs changing.
