i would rather get lose every fight and live in Los Angeles than win every fight living in Scotland. Its 22c in LA today. 8c in Glasgow.
Maybe your not aware but craig could have got a few warm up fights on FW's shows with the permission of GB,GB were more than happy to allow this to happen and imo thats what shoud have hapened but you will know better.
Boxing in Scotland is not worth it unless you are getting a title contest billy look at the facts to why Craig took the fight he has a family and house to pay for so need money with xmas around the corner billy a couple of warm up in scotland would generate him ten grand at the most yet he got nearly 4 time that boxing in Mexico . why do pro boxer to earn a lot of money and hopefully titles which he would have got had he won . now billy can you explain why a world champion receives less than a guy who was fighting in america or mexico than your world champion and many other world champions because our boxers have been getting the raw deal for years . you no this yet pretent to advise boxer the best option was to box on FW shows . guys in scotland are boxing for 1200 pound and are ask to train for six weeks full time pay for medical training fee,s and caoches 10% the managers 10% its crazy that you talk up boxing in scotland boxers in england boxer are getting five grand for 6 rounders its a shame that our boxers are getting a raw deal but I do understand why due to tickets sale being average unless there is tv or a real world title fight.
Why does Billy always feel has to make a statement about eating humble pie and admit he got it wrong who got it wrong Billy was it Craig and after speaking to him on sunday he feels hard done to as his and his camps plan was to get Quillin into the later round but due to the referee making such a bad decision that never happened .also you make astatement that GB where happy for him to box on FW show not according to him . He was told he had to take this fight which is what he is contracted to do and according to Craig his promoter Golden boy are very happy with him as it was the fault of the referee that this was stopped . they believe he will still box for a world title so as they are the one calling the tunes he the one he will listen to not you and they have also told him if he win his next fight they will put a show on in Edinburgh . now i think grenal has already explained why Craig had to take the fight as does FMJ its all about money he was offered a lot of money more than what has been spoken about and IMO would have been really stupid to refuse
Ah yes, the old get the head boxed off you for the whole first half of the fight then miraculously come back. It worked a charm for McCloskey. Will you ever **** off you muppet. He lost. Get over it. I really like McEwan but hate spastic fans like you who can't face reality.
Elvis your the muppet three judges had quillin by two round and everyone who was at the fight including the british judges agreed it was a very premiture stoppage.and as QILLAN has not boxed over 6 rounds it did look as if he was not all that in this fight so your post is a load of crap
On reflection, leaving GB might not be the best move, wasnt aware the gap in pay was so big and many fighters would kill to get on HBO etc. But there is a need for an experienced trainer, if not Billy then there is a few more class coaches in Scotland or down south
FMJ listen mate i dont know who you are and i really dont care but Craig admitted to me when he got offered the fight this wasnt the right fight for him, now in his head he doesnt think he'll win straight away. With regards to what a fighter is paid,GB are known to be the best payers in the sport and im glad Craig was well paid but was it worth it?
