The difference between Calzaghe/Hopkins against JMM/Pacquaio is that Hopkins completely shut off for eight rounds of the fight, Calzaghe visibly landed more although did so with a very ugly style and Hopkins was never able to put more than a few shots on him after Round 3 onwards.

JMM controlled Pacquaio, made him fight his fight, beat him to the punch time and time again and was far more effective than him.

Calzaghe vs Hopkins was a 116-112 decision, JMM vs Pacquaio should have been a 115-113 decision to Marquez

i had JC 114-113, and a draw 114-114

 

Come on... Hopkins was soundly beaten at home turf (America) with an American referee and 3 American judges.
All cards stacked in his favour and still he didn't do enough to get the victory.

Pac vs JMM III was a robbery, Slappy vs B-Hop was a clear victory for Joe.

 

I never understood how anyone scored that fight for Hopkins.

 

I expect Nancy Popkins to drop by this thread and to express his outrage at the poll result.

I've watched it several times in HD and each time I've scored it 115-112 for Calzaghe.

Hopkins almost had a asthma attack FFS. Calzaghe won that close but clear. It would've been a robbery of they gave it to old man river.
