He's up there with them IMO. Any order you rank them would be fine with me.

How can he? People are doing it off the notion that he beat Pacquiao. If you count that, you have to also count that he should've loss to Barrera. And Morales in his prime beat prime Pacquiao CONVINCINGLY without question and never lost to the likes of Chris John.

I think most people would regard the Pacquiao Marquez just fought as better than the one Morales fought. I also think that Saturday's decision was just as bad as it would have been had Pacquiao been judged the winner of Morales I.

This. Although I'm a huge fan of Morals because of his killer instinct, MAB can playout any style of boxing. He can be technical or an aggressive fighter or even a brawler or worse dirty fighter depending on who his opponent is. Something Morales and JMM can't do on the fly, so to speak.
Barrera may not hav won against Pacquiao, but he won over other great fighters namely Morales and Nazeem.

As for Morales vis-a-vis Marques, again he has the killer instinct that JMM doesn't have. He has an unarguable W against Pacquiao while JMM well it's open for debate.

And last, how can you say you are the greatest when your claim to fame is a draw, a split decision loss and now a supposed "robbery" over one single fighter?

    Marquez did it 3 times, in 04, 08, 11.
and Marquez never lost to a David Diaz, or a Marcos Maidana.

Marquez has been shot and over the hill, Shot Marquez vs Shot Barrera in 07 was a great fight, sadly for Barrera, Marquez destroyed him.

Shot to pieces Marquez beat Prime Pacquiao in 08, when Shot Barrera couldn't in 07. Shot to pieces Marquez war torn, beat Pacquiao again while Barrera was cheering for him on sidelines. Make no mistake Prime Marquez stops both Barrera and Morales at 126. Both have been stopped, Marquez? Never. Put him with Kirkland and Angulo on the same night, he might fall a few dozen times but he will get up and stop em both, Marquez vs Martinez next.

, Marquez clearly won more rounds in both fights, and imo Morales beat both Diaz and Maidana, Marquez beat undefeated John. I was just trying to make a point. Robberies happen in the streets and in Boxing:deal

    Good post.

Personally, I'd rank Morales and Barrera about equal, and I have them both a notch above JMM.

I've gone back and forth over my favourite Mexican, first it was Morales, then it was Barrera and more recently it's become Marquez. At the time of this fight it was Barrera and I had him edging it. After rewatching it I find it hard to give him 3 rounds, he mainly backpeddled while Marquez walked him down, he only threw counter left hooks and jabs for the main part. He was outworked, punched backwards, close to being stopped (in the 7th) and generally negative. He should have had a KD mind you but it wouldn't change the result

You never saw Barrera-Marquez did you? It was known for being way closer then the scorecards shown, I actually thought MAB won.
