The issue of bad judging needs to be addressed. Saturday's robbery of Marquez was the final straw. We need more judges ringside. I say five, possibly even seven. Place them in good seats so they get a great view of the action. Then the genuine winner will be victorious. What changes would you introduce?
14 housemates all in a house with no access to the outside world. They watch the fight in soundproof bubbles and anyone who is more than 2 points off the average card is savaged by feral dogs
That was many years ago in usa, was it not because of gangster interference in boxing decisions? i rekon tv veiwers by text or interactive voting, at least that way the people in general make the decision, real democracy.:good
I say we need around 30 people on the internet, ideally watching a fight through a low resolution stream, and all with a serious bias for one of the fighters. It's the only way to bring credibility back to the sport. No "bad" decision in recent years compares to the draw between Cintron and Martinez.
Kill Doug Tucker, due to him scoring Mijares-Navarro 120-108 to Navarro in what is unamimously known as the single worst scorecard in the history of sports entertainment.
I think that it was more to do with sorting out "no decision" fights....a fight where a stoppage had to be scored to win the fight. Newspapers would declare a concensus winner.
12 judges, complteley anonoymous scoring, highest and lowest score for each fighter is discarded. and take the average of the rest. Then we'll see some genuinely correct decisions. Not sure how to correct dodgy stopagges though. 3 people needed to award victory by points, only one to award it by TKO. How do you solve that little problem?
