Just read it on a few sites and forums. Heard it it here a few times. I dont pay atttention to names because all that happens is you end up in a slanging match telling each other you ''know **** about boxing''. But i have seen people write it before. I think the general opinion is that i couldnt do it anyway but theres always some expections.
I'll support him but no way is he winning. Rios is an animal, he doesn't have a style for longevity but he is still way more better than Murray is. The only thing Murray has on his side is hope. Hope that Rios is tight at the weight, he has mentioned that he would hang around at 135 for two more fights as he was getting forced up to 140. However, Rios is relentless, more so than Murray and he has more power than Murray who has no defence. If Murray is to win we need to see a reinvented John Murray and not that one that got hammered by Mitchell. He needs to box and do so for 12 rounds. Acosta was boxing well against Rios until he was worn down.
Im a fan of John Murray but i dont see him winning i see Rios winning inside 4 action packed rounds. But i would love murray to win.
All the best to Murray but I can't remember ever giving anyone a smaller chance of winning than this. I cannot think of any possible way that he can beat him
I'm not going to empry my entire bank account and savings on this but let me just say that i will be having a CONSIDERABLE SUM OF MONEY on Bam Bam to get a KO here. It's around 1/4 at the moment and even that is value. Murray has always gotten hit a lot in his fights and Rios is a very hard puncher indeed. Murrays power was always grind-you-down power as well - AT BRITISH LEVEL. So Rios is a world class puncher and likes to come forward. Murray also has only ever fought a come forward fight. This really is black and white - one of the easiest KO predictions you could make. But BEWARE - Shannon Briggs lasted the distance vs Vitali when I genuinely thought that was near impossible, so these bets sometimes go wrong. Ian John Lewis ****ed me up that night.
I agree however, I think Murray will keep tight for the first 3 and box. Rios is a livewire and gets frustrated easily, also I believe he is struggling with the weight and will underestimate Murray. Gallagher is a smart trainer and has to have a 12 round plan, Murray has to get past those first 3-4 rounds. It has got Antillon vs Rios written all over it but I think Murray is gonna pull the unexpected and box for a bit.
from what iv seen on various websites, rios is lookin way past murray, mistake.Yes john is one dimensional, but he can hit.So if rios thinks he can wealk right thru him and not bother with his defence, one never knows!!!!! A fully focused rios, wins all day long, we will see if he is focused. Cum on john.
i think even if murray pulls a barker and keeps everything nice and tight and boxers, he'll still end up getting caught up in a slugfest its just the way he fights (barker always was a boxer) so it wasn't that much of a change of style for him. i can only see this going 1 way and thats johnny getting ko'd so as long as he puts up 100% and gives a good account of himself he shouldn't get any stick what so ever. i would still love for him to get the win, what a comeback that would be
murray's gonna finish biggity bam bam with a beautiful right to the sola plexus. if murray hadnt lost to mitchell thered be a lot more people giving murray more of a chance, unless a fighter takes a severe sustained beating, one fight dont change ****. rios's record on boxrec really is not that impressive, he's another hype job with a couple of eye catching k.o's he can and will be beaten, go on john boy!!!!
I can see John Murray holding his own in a very scrappy fight and getting stopped in the late rounds. :rasta
the only part of your post i agree with is that people would be giving murray a bigger chance if the mitchell fight never happened. a lot on here would be picking him to win imo
