I noticed that too. That's why his face was barely marked after the fight. Marquez didn't issue the beating most people are saying.

 

So a 7 minute video of Manny avoiding being hit while landing nothing himself shows he won the fight? Ok then.

i just finished watching it again since the first time i saw it live and it was not actually a bad performance for pacquiao as what i originally thought. pacquiao fought a very technical fight against marquez and have him winning 7 rounds to 5 though i admit that all of the rounds are very close and jmm had the clearest round which is round 5 so i could easily believe anyone who has card like mine for jmm.

but it confirmed my initial thought when i was watching this fight live that pac got the most of the early rounds and the late rounds while jmm got the middles rounds. also, this fight was not actually boring and a great fight for me. it doesn't have the fireworks of the first and second fight but i enjoyed rewatching this chess match where both guys were actually trying to impose his game on each other. this fight would go down as another classic and i would love to see a fourth fight if it happens.

as for the thread topic, yes i saw most of marquez shots were nicely blocked just like the 2nd fight where pac employed his high guard after throwing a punch. he also quickly moves to his right after darting in with his left away from marquez punches but marquez was crafty enough to hit the body while pac was moving away.

 

i do think manny did a good performance against JMM (all expectations before the fight aside). Though it wasn't good enough really win the fight but i do think he has soundly improved in a technical fight compared to their previous 2 fights. Technical fight is still JMM's game but i think manny's starting to gain on it already.

 

watch the 2nd fight and it was actually a mix of technical fight and fireworks. the 2nd figth would go down as the best of the 3 but i actually enjoyed this fight the same even if there are no knockdowns or dramas like the 8th round where marquez was near to stopping pacquiao on the ropes.

Everyone knows Pacquiaos defense is underrated accept dumbasses who think hes just a unskilled wild slugger.

But Marquez did get robbed.

 

because fights are meant to be scored in slow motion yeah?

and also slow motion just enchances pac's misses (and there are any) aswell as his hits so how does it help his cause?

 

i've been saying this over and over that manny can't beat Jmm in a tactical battle that manny would still get outboxed should he do that against him. It's marquez type of a game so it's a wrong gameplan for me. But it's good to see manny improve in that department.

 

Manny was slick al through the fight. Real boxing fans can see it clearly. Great video telling the real story. Come on down Floyd Punk Mayweather. Take your swing at him.
