the other teams knew it was part of the settlement.... ive been saying manny's career as a welter is a sham ... he stacked to give the illusion of power and they payed people to lose
It would be helpful if you knew what "stacking" means before claiming this video demonstrates Manny doing it.
Looks at tape see Manny with tape on skin, oh ****, I'm mistaking, he has gauze first which is the rule.
Roach complained to the commission vs the DLH, but the commission said the go ahead, so Roach says, well do something similar... I've said this before... Mosley dominated Margarito but no cuts from what I remember... and Pac.. busted up Margos face.
You'll be waiting a long time if you think you're right. Stacking has to do with alternating layers of gauze and tape over the knuckles creating stacks, hence the term. Tape against the skin isn't prohibited as long as the tape is kept a required distance from the knuckles. What Kessler was trying to do was stacking, what the video shows Pacquiao doing was not.
I understand you don't want too believe it, but watch the full video not just the first minute. Manny, tape on skin. Manny gauze, Manny tape. with writing on it. Oh I get it, he only stacked 1 layer.
What time in the video do you see Manny with tape on the skin over his knuckles? Instead of regurgitating someone else's work, learn what is and isn't prohibited and then try again.
nice try :good did your video evidence show pacman apply tape then gauze then tape and gauze and tape again?
I have a different opinion then most when it comes to hand wrapping. First off the idea that a certain wrap increases punching power is ridiculous. Anyone that believes that is ignorant ignorant to the sport of boxing. As for all these different hand wrapping styles, and allegations of illegally wrapped hands I have this to say. No amount of gauze or tape is going to produce a wrap that is harder then the the bones in my knuckles. I have had my hands wrapped all kinds of ways, and was even fortunate enough to have my hands wrapped once by Poppa Trinidad. What I noticed in Poppa Trinidads wrap technique was that my hand felt very well protected... well padded at the face of the fist, and the knuckles. The wrap was in no way harder then when anyone else wrapped my hands. I felt the Trinidad wrap did what hand wrapping is supposed to do... it provided support to my wrist joint, and protected my knuckles from the impact of punching hard parts of the opponents body. I think a guy that has his hands wrapped in that manner probably feels more secure in punching as hard as he can, but it doesn't bestow power on him that was never there. Handwraps are to protect a fighters hands. Period the end. If anything fist that has been under wrapped with little gauze and tape covering the knuckles would probably be the worst case scenario as I could see the knuckles separating the padding in the some gloves which in turn would lead to more superficial facial damage... cuts and swelling.
It isn't illegal to wrap this way across the board--state to state, country to country. It may be illegal in some places, but it isn't a sport-wide policy.
