Haye is hard to hit when he is in his super-defensive-run-away-modus. But if he wants points he needs to more offensive. In this case, I doubt that he can avoid the hard punches. But here is the problem. This man doesnt want the belt he is only caring for the money. He has no pride and he will run, never having the intention to win.
Would love to see this fight if it did come off. Haye is a much better opponent than the garbage Vitali's fought lately....
:rofl Haye would DESTROY Helenius. Id like to see this beating take place after he retires the sisters, but Chisora will have already exposed Finnish glass.
Obviously it's MY opinion......but I once thought Valuev won that fight as well, but having rewatched it, I could see Haye landed far more punches than Valuev, and when he traded(rarely) he took Valuev's punches well. His wins over Barrett, Ruiz, Harrison, Valuev are mediocre but still highly credible, although I think if Haye is gonna be the best he can be, he needs to adopt a style similar to the style he had at CW. I was the biggest HAYETER on this board before the Wlad fight, but watching him dodge and parry Wlads jab/cross combo was brilliant when he stayed on his feet that is. As I said, Haye is NOWHERE near the level of the K2, but in reality, since Lewis and Tyson retired who is. Sad, their careers overlapped the way they did, and Tyson was mentally shot at 35 y/o. :-( I truly believe Haye would stop Potvetkin, outpoint Chambers, KO Arreola, Dimtrenko, and most all the contenders and pretenders. But his defense first approach HAS to go, as it turns fans off worse than Wlad's safety first approach. But in all seriousness, Haye could become a champ within 6 months, as he could automatically mandate a Potvetkin fight for the paper strap. He could also win the WBF by beating Grant, and linger long enough to win Vitali's vacated WBC title. But......it's all in his court. It his decision. He'll NEVER beat a K2, but like I said....we'll never see either Brother beat, ever again.
First, let me say that I realize you must be British and living in some denial about a completely one sided loss for Haye. No worries. I was pretty upset when Tyson was forced to continue fighting by the IRS and lost to Lennox. Second, I don't know what fight you watched, but the fight everyone else saw was a joke of a defense by Haye. He was outboxed thoroughly, ate big punches, never had a moment where Wladimir was hurt and well....it was just a trainwreck for Haye. A KO loss might have been better for him as he could have blamed that on a lucky punch. Since have obviously forgot what really happened, here are some highlights. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_LYXtiusI8[/ame] Also, before you start running your trap about Haye never being hurt, you should check out this gigantic bruise over his left eye and the swelling in his face in the post fight interview. Even though he wisely chose to wear sunglasses to try to hide the evidence of the ass beating, you can still see it plainly. Finnish glass? Helenius has been hit by Peter and Brewster without going down. The man has one fo the best beards in the division. Haye not so much.
John Ruiz used to be good yes but he has been a bum since Tua ****ed him 100 years ago. Valuev has no skill or power and was a 2 time champion of a shitty greedy organization in the weakest era of fighters in HW history. Valuev is not even in the top 200 best HW of all time. Haye's best win, came against a guy that could be beaten by current Larry Holmes.
I want this fight to materialise just to see swarms of paranoid brits flooding the forum again. Good memories...
david haye has been in training the whole time. I saw an interview with him and he was in very good shape. This whole retirement thing was just to hurry the klits up with an offfer of now or never. Vitali lost his chance with lennox because of retirement, and he wants to knock out haye and doesn't want to lose his chance at that because of retirement.
Check your facts All Ruiz best victorys were after the Tua fight. He developed lot more effective style after that KO
Well everyone will strugle after being out of training couple of months. Condition and timing will be **** for first couple of training sessions
