Pac should have just simply stood in the middle of the ring and done nothing. If he had done that there would have been no fight at all..........Pac made the fight.............

It must be controversy to the fullest had JMM rob the fight. The challenger that offers nothing but defense and counter-punching.

Complete horse****. Do *******s make stuff up as they go along?

    1. Pacquiao wasn't half as aggressive as people think. For large portions of the fight he was just as cautious as JMM, for fear of being countered, which he was every time he came forward.

    2. JMM was more aggressive than people think. Many, many times he initiated the first engagement.

    3. Pacquiao walking around the ring after JMM who's fighting off the back foot does not constitute 'aggression'.

    4. A counterpunching style does not mean a fighter is 'running'. Only a ******* idiot who knows nothing about boxing would disagree.

Now shut up you ****ing moron.

By saying that.......pacquiao was giving jmm respect. A very admirable quality in a fighter. Pac was starting to beat the tar out of him. Ko was coming.

    I kinda thought differently.

I was impressed that JMM was a tad more aggressive than what I expected from him (and yes he was initiating the exchange at times) and was equally impressed with how defensive Pac was, making JMM miss some combinatons that would normally all land.

They both we're giving eachother respect. Both very cautious, both jumping a bit out of their comfort zones. I was very pleased to see JMM be the aggressor at times and also pleased to see Pac take a back seat and go 'toe to toe' so to speak with JMM's style. Pac couldn't impose his will, but he did a pretty good job trying to adapt to the situation and fighting Marquez's fight while being aggressive when he could.

If you look back at the fight, Pac tried countering many of JMM's shot; he read the counter, would launch the shot after JMM threw his,but he came up short...JMM had his neck bent down low and pac would miss the counter behind JMM's head, it was a calculated opportunity with known risks and JMM was able to get the best of...Pac would surely connect on a lesser fighter, but JMM is just that good...

JMM imposed his style and added a spice of aggression. And Pac couldn't get his style going but weaved in and out of aggressive and being passive in an attempt to adapt to adversity (which he hasn't seen in a while).

I thought it was a very nice fight to watch, respect to both fighters...

It was close because Marquez landed the harder clearer shots (although you wouldn't know that from their faces - Marquez was battered and bruised)
and Pacquaio threw and landed more punches. Pretty simple really.

What about the Pacquiao punches which repeatedly knocked Marquez off-balance and knocked his head about from round 1-12? I don't know that Marquez landed the cleaner blows all up, watching all the action in slow-motion you see Pacquiao was landing as many clean punches if not more, and quite a few which shook Marquez. It's because Marquez's stood out in some of the middle rounds people claim he did it throughout the whole, which is not true. Marquez only landed one clean punch in the last round and Pac made him look silly with great defence avoiding many of Marquez's wild punches in that round. Pacquiao landed six or seven clean hard blows, yet some gave it to Marquez, illustrating how blind people were against Pac in this fight.

Fight should be judged on it's own as a high speed chess match, round by round, each fighter having a clean slate. Not with the pre-conceived mentality that poor little Marquez was going to be cannon fodder for unstoppable Superman Pac who was going to come out all guns blazing.

It was a great effort for a 38 year old lightweight to go the distance and make it a close fight with a version of Pac expected to run him into the ground. The performance itself
though has become extremely overrated. Marquez was the counter puncher, he landed some good punches no doubt, but he was also consistently getting hit and counter-punched himself and easily lost the championship rounds. If that happened to Floyd everyone would **** on him.

Pac fighting a more conservative and cautious fight did not mean he automatically lost the fight, and he had success fighting that way, especially in the championship rounds. Marquez himself fought a more conservative and cautious fight than he normally would, but of course no-one talks about that, he was allowed to which demonstrates the kind of bias going here.

In 50 years years this fight will treated simply as the final epidose of their trilogy, and another razor-thin close fight, and no-one will be talking ridiculous crap about schoolings and dominant performances regarding this fight.

The best punches came from him,at the end of the day "boxing" is a thinking man games and might be too technical for you.. Your just mad that JMM didn't fall for the banana in the tail pipe..

Don't be mad at JMM for doing his job,be mad at Pac for not being able to adapt

Marquez boxed beautifully, but unfortunately in the last 2 rounds he did not step on the gas.

Might as well have done just that since he was pretty ineffective no matter what he tried to do against JMM.
