are the mob worth a mention, hard to tell just how many fixed fights there where but i think robinson would have lost a hell of a lot more without their influence

I think they can be a good thing. If it's used to make a fighter weak, fair enough, but if you have a great junior middle and a great middleweight, a catchweight of 157lbs is the only fair way to make the fight happen.

The number of divisions is the worst thing for me. There is a difference between finding a suitable level for competition and watering them down too much. That line has been crossed.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!! Just like it corrputs other sports. Loving money more than boxing or any sport, hurts the sport. -- Not fighting because the money isn't right, cherry picking, catchweights, corrupt judges, incompetent refs, Mayweather trying to fool fans that he is the best ever and people buying into it, etc.

Boxing losing sponsors and no longer being on network TV has really hurt the sport. Having a gazillion different belts is ridiculous. Boxing actually hasn't had just ONE major title in a long, long time, there's always been at least two since the 1920s, but those titles were usually unified. What the hell is a sliver championship belt?

Corruption and greed has always been part of the sport, so now it's affecting the sport in a way where the fans are getting screwed, and the popularity of the sport is dwindling.
