    How old are you? 15?

Watch his old fights. Then get back to us.

Hopkins was older and had more fights than Roy. If Hopkins was not yet mature, then neither was Roy.

James Toney was the same but had a better resume than Hopkins before his fight with Roy.

I am 32, fella. But I got into the sport a bit late. And I consider the whole "true fan"-angle a bit immature.

Is it possible to ask a single question here on ESB without having an agenda?

It may be a bit immature, but he's right about one thing: if you're a boxing fan, you NEED to get copies of RJJ's fights. Just like you NEED to know about Ali, SRR, SRL, Armstrong, guys like that. Without knowing who these guys are and what they've done and what they were capable of, you don't really know anything about boxing.

No need to rip him for being a new fan to the sport and not knowing the whole histroy of it, but the best way to see how good a boxer was is to study him and his resume/opponents/circumstances everything.
