Pacquiao-Marquez III: Who has the better Defense?

Pacquiao actually blocked plenty of punches with his arms and elbows through out the fight especially in round 4.

 

Pacquiao showed some very good defensive moves, blocking many punches on his forearms Winky style and dodged many with incredible movement as the HBO guys pointed out on numerous occasions.

Juan didnt hit manny nearly as much as people think he did. Most of his **** was blocked / slipped, but so were Manny's. Neither guy landed a lot of clean blows.

 

It must be prime time in the Phillipines :think

 

JMM one of the best combination punchers in the game. How many combinations did he throw ? Why ? How many punches did he land in Round 8-12 ?

Maybe about even. I think I'd give the edge to Marquez though, prime for prime.

 

Of course it's JMM, but relative to themselves, Pac has the better improvement with his defense.
JMM improved greatly with his offense tho (most notably his aggressive counterpunching).

 

It looked like PAC blocked a lot of those punches with his face. When he was interviewed someone should of asked him ---"did you get the number of that truck."

 

Does Manny have a defense? He just puts his gloves up and lets people bang away. His legs are his first line of defense. Once they go he's finished.

 

Seriously you want to compare who has better defense? pacquiao who is in his prime still and marquez who is over his prime & old? Well i will pick Marquez because defensively pacquiao isn't even in his league. Marquez is more boxing IQ, accurate, and better counter punching abilities. Which all i my opinion you need to reply on to even be a tad good in defensive, Marquez excels at that.

 

Was marquez prime in fight 1 or 2?
Seriously though, the threads about whose better in Fight 3 not who you think "deserve" the call because of his longevity.
A greener pac gave marquez a lot of hell and won. p4p 1 for few years running. youd think pac would have some sort of defence.
