Yep agreed. rounds will help. only issue is whether making the weight is a problem.

This is what Fwank has said

"It's disappointing for everyone concerned, but George can't fight if his hand is injured.
"If he did go ahead and put in a sub-par performance, we don't want to make excuses.
"He'll have a good rest and treatment and I'll look to get him back out early next year which will be a big one for him.
"It's still a cracking show with DeGale now headlining and our best talent from Liverpool all in action, including Stephen and Liam Smith, Joe Selkirk and Paul Butler.
"Unbeaten prospects Billy Joe Saunders and Callum Johnson are also on the card, along with the pro debut of Damon Jones."

i went to franks show last year when degale fought smith and it had cleverley and kell brook on the undercard and there was loads of empty seats for that one so i dare not to think how much money is gonna be lost on this!

It was a pretty poo show anyways, this doesn't make it that much worse. It's not like Groves fight would've meant anything. Every fight on the card is no hoper.

Groves sells more tickets than DeGale I bet. And I doubt that’s a huge amount either.

Have to wonder with Fwank sometimes. 2 londoners headlining in Liverpool, and a week later he stacks a card with Irish fighters and puts it in......erm....Liverpool

its not too bad when ****** announces something like the magnificent 7 and 3 of the fights fall apart, but when you have a really boring card to start with and something like this happens then you may aswell cancel it altogether? if degales opponent was better mitchell had a stay busy fight and possibly sexton or chisora vs a bum at least that wouldve been plausible.

He should try and get Tony Dodson in with Courntey Fry, both have a decent following in Liverpool. Or better still in with Danny Mac. Not sure anyone would be willing at this stage though

If Degale pulled out the attendance would remain the same as if he was fighting.

    Degale has no fans. none.
