    RockySplit nose,

Your in utter denial if you don't think Louis won a round. Clearly all 3 judges disagreed with you heavily.

    Judge 1: 5 rounds to 2 Marciano

    Judge 2: 4 rounds to 2 1 even Marciano

    judge 3: 4 rounds to 3 Marciano

IF Louis fought straight (without a four year layoff due to a war ) he would remain sharper longer and would likely retain the title thru Liston ..

If Joe Louis turned Pro in 1948 there are some factors to consider. The first is earsing the real Joe Lois from history. This would likely mean after James J. Braddock beat Max Bear. He'd like would have defended agnst Max Schmeling and lost Schmeling would have likely fought Bear and lost.
Bear would have remained champion till 1939 loaing to Bob. Pastor losses to Billy Conn. Conn vacates the championship to stay at light heavyweight. Pastor faces off with Arturo Godoy for the vacant championship. Godoy becomes the new champion. Goody remains champion intill losing to Abe Simon, who loses to Buddy Bear. Bear loses to Lou Nova who loses a rematch with Bear who loses a rematch with Simon. Simon loses to Jersy Joe Walcott. Walcott beats Elmer Ray, Joey Maxim, Ezzard Charles and Harold Johnson. Before losing to Charles.

This sets up in July of 1951 Ezzard Charles vs Joe Louis for the heavyweight championship of the world. Charles owns a win over Louis who enters the bout with a record of 31-1, and 23 years old.

7/1951 Ezzard Charles W ko 3 32-1 Seeking revenge for his loss Louis makes quick work of the champion Charles.
12/51 Joey Maxim W ko 1 33-1 Louis has too much for the over matched Maxim

6/1952 Jersey Joe Walcott W ko 7 34-1 Walcott gives Louis problems but Louis catches up to him in the seventh
9/52 Rocky Marciano W ko 14 35-1. In a back and fourth war, Marciano subcomes to Louis in the second to last round.

5/1953. Rocky Marciano W ko 10 36-1 Knowing his oppoent better allows Louis to get to him eailer and win another tough fight.
9/53 Roland LaStarza W ko 8 37-1 After two tough bouts with Marciano Louis has an easier time with LaStarza.

9/1954 Ezzard Charles W ko1. 38-1 It takes a year to find anyone worthy of Louis. Charles the ex champion and only man to beat Louis is given the chance to do it again. Louis being in his prime and Charles being at the end of his career as a serous contender, results in a first round ko.

5/1955 Don Cockell W ko 1 39-1. Louis decides to waist no time with Cockell.
9/55 Archie Moore W ko 8. 40-1 Moore has his molmets before Louis stops him.

6/1956 Floyd Patterson W ko 12. 41-1 Patterson (21) is looking to become the youngest heavyweight champion. The Gold medal winer's speed bothers Louis at times but the champion is able to gain control and walk Patterson down.
11/56 Archie Moore. W ko 4. This time Louis makes quick work of the Old Mongose.

    7/1957 Tommy Jackson W ko 1 42-1.
8/57 Pete Rademacher. W ko 1 43-1 Louis fights Jackson and Rademacher about a month apart only needing a round each.

8/1958 Roy Harris W ko 6. 44-1 Louis fights after a year layoff, beating the undefeated Haris.

5/1959 Brian London W ko 8 45-1. London lasts longer than most expect him to.

6/1960 Floyd Patterson W ko 12. 46-1 Nearly four years after they first meet. The two fight a simliar fight to their first with Patteraon doing better before the fight is stopped in Louis's favor.

3/1961 Ingemar Johansson W ko 1.47-1 Louis gets another first round stoppage this time over a Silver Medalest.
    12/61 Tom McNeeley W ko1.

9/1962 Sonny Liston W ko 15. 48-1 While Louis now 34 has been a few tough spots he has never really been too far behind if at all. Liston is able to use his long powerfull jab to hurt Louis in the fight and is up on the score carda at the time of the stoppage.

7/1963. Sonny Liston W ko 10. 49-1 In another tough fight Louis's power wins the day.

2/1964 Cassius Marcellus Clay (He did not change his name till after he became champion) W D 15. 50-1 Louis makes defense #20 with a contervisual win over the conterversual Clay.

5/1965 Muhammad Ali (Formaly Clay). W D 15. 51-1 A lot has happend sense The two meet more than a year before. Clay changed his name to Ali shortly after the fight. An injury in training to Ali potponed the fight till this time. The fight is close and contervisual with Louis again winning.

Shortly after the fight Louis anocues his retirement from boxing.
Five months latter Ali stops Patterson in 12 to become the Heavyweight Champion of the world.

Your crazy if you think Godoy, Simon, Baer would win the belt over Lem Franklin, Lee Q Murray, and Jimmy Bivins.

If Louis waits till he's 'fully mature,' prime, before taking on Marciano, and if he fights the right fight, I believe he wins.

In other words, the best version of Louis beats best version of Rocky.
