At the scene. It's about time. I always said that he needed to get one and maybe one like Ariza who'd get more weight in his legs.

    His new coach said-
“When Mike started working with me he looked like a new-born calf,” said Meudt, a retired major after a 22-year stint in the Army. “Now he’s a strong bull. His legs are firmer, stronger and explosive. His balance, conditioning and endurance are excellent. He does everything I ask him to do and he exceeds all expectations.”

Mike is about to show you guys why he deserves to be in the top of the Pacweather sweepstakes

He also added a weight management nutritionist to the team. People won't be asking WHO anymore :bbb

    Here's his last fight.

I know I'd be juicing if I was trying to make it big in the sport.

Anyways, I like what I see from him. He's going to be a very tough out if he can improve his skill-set, defense, and backfoot boxing and ring control. I'd take him over Berto and Ortiz right now regardless.

I agree with you on all of that. Mike checked the a few of the boxes I needed him to do to make it to the elite level by fixing his balance, stamina, weight in legs and overall conditioning.

Now he just needs to get a more authoritative jab and not pitty pat with it as much and just fix his technique and footwork while learning to sit down on his shots more

What do you guys think of Mike Jones maybe padding his style a bit to resemble Vernon Forrest?

Wouldn't be a bad thing at all. He doesn't have the authoritative jab, distance control, or power Forrest had in his right hand and he's not as technically advanced as Forrest, but I definitely see similarities. Forrest was never particularly impressive as far as movement went, and Jones seems to be decently swift on his feet. Both really dig in when throwing to the body and their right hand technique is somewhat similar, as well as their tendency to fall in a bit on occasion when throwing it and not bring it directly back to the chin for defensive purposes. I'm going to enjoy seeing what ripples he can add to his game and how he moves along. If he comes close to the level Vernon reached in the sport, he will have had a very successful career.

Oh yeah he needs to work on his defence and inside fighting also. I think Roger/Floyd Sr. could work very well with him

all the conditioning coaches i've seen who were in the military typically follow old outdated methods.
