    First fight I ever watched:

De La Hoya vs. Mosley I -

I remember feeling it should have went to Oscar. I watched it at my sisters house. My brother in law was always big on PPV events. It was the start of me been a fan of boxing.

First fight I ever watched live:

Roman Gonzalez vs. Jose Luis Valera -

This fight took place in Managua Nicaragua, as I made one of my annual trips to my native country. I knew very little about Gonzalez, who later was to become a champion in two divisions. He took care of Valera in the first round. It was quite a spectacle as Roman was only 20 years old yet he fought like a veteran. i have been a fan of his since then....

I remember in the 80's, when i was in high school, i watched in tv John "The Beast" Mugabi, make an walk in the aisle then entrance in the ring, and they called him "The Beast", and they flashed his boxing record-- his record is perfect! 45-0 something! No defeat! And he's ****ing scary-looking too!
And i remember thinking to myself, "Who is stupid enough to get in the ring with this guy?!!
Then, they called him--- some bald guy, calm-looking, not pumped-up or excited, and not scared of either. And they called him -- "Marvelous Marvin Hagler". I'm thinking to myself again-- What's so f*cking marvelous about you?" "The Beast gonna starch this guy easy and early"
Then they fight, and after the fight, i become a fan of The Marvelous.

One of my favourites! Loved when Mickey Duff said to Mugabi "If you won't do it for me,do it for the Father!"(I think)
Mugabi gave Marvelous a lot to think about, that was the fight where Leonard made his mind up.
