Richmond NSW fight night, Joel Brunker, 25-11 this Friday

    It was a good night of fights, with the main event having the place on fire. The most electric fight I've been to.

    However, I feel Joel received a gift from the judges. His opponent looked impressive firing great combinations for most of the fight, whereas Joel looked robotic by comparison.
    He was getting hit way too often and didn't have much of an answer, particularly in the middle rounds.

    Towards the end of the fight, it was beginning to head Joels way, but it was to little to lat IMO.

    I had the opponent up by at least 4 rounds. 2 judges saw it the other way and one judge had to Joel by one round.

    All the people I spoke to saw it much the same.

    Sounds like it was a good night sox, how did the Am boys go on the undercard?

    More importantly, any pics of the ring card girls :deal

    It was all good, no KO's but all good fights.
    One of the kiwi HW dudes looked like he just come from a Mr Universe comp. :lol:

    No ring card girls, I'll have to have a word to John about that. :yep

    Heard all about this fight and everything in and around it.

    Sad. Just sad.

    I like joel, really nice fella. But this stuff doesnt do him any good in the long run.

    I thought the same, the first few rounds were close...but Joel was eating shots in the middle rounds and towards the end he closed the distance and nullified his opponents offence but didn't land alot of clean shots.

    I heard some hometown cooking took place?
    3 different people i spoke to plus guys on this forum said Joel lost.

    Better wait till i see a video & make any more assumptions.
