Don't rule out Sky Box Office yet.... They are a business, after all, and like all businesses if theres an oppotunity to make a proffit they will go for it. Just because they've said something doesn't mean they stick by it. All other platforms can only make a fraction of PPV sales that Sky can simply due to the hype machine.
That's exactly what he WON'T do. And if he says he will then put your mortgage on it that he doesn't. If he didn't do it vs Wlad then he hasn't got it in him to do it full stop
Haye was always brave in the past. He's never lacked heart, but who knows what was going on in his head? Wlad hits pretty ****ing hard - maybe after Haye got clipped he just thought it wasn't worth getting bashed senseless. I'll give David the benefit of the doubt if he takes the fight. Hopefully he won't talk so much bollocks (unlikely) and will make a fight of it (also unlikely).
Anyone who pays 15 quid to watch this fight is a prime MUG Haye will do exactly what he did vs wlad and then come out with an excuse after the fight while he checks his bank balance on his blackberry
Haye has the right to say pretty much whatever he wants about the Klitscho's right now tbh. Wlad's fighting Mormeck next ffs!
Id say this is the majority of casual fans opinions. I had a big night for the wlad/haye fight, done a bbq had a load of mates around and made a night of it. None of my mates are into boxing like i am, but casual fans, we all know, enjoy a good scrap and big names. I done my best to get them behind haye but they all thought he was a ***** due to his action before hand, and wouldnt even buy into my "he's a londoner" line. But really they didnt give a **** and just wanted to see a good fight. And they were fed that display by haye and then the toe excuse....he was actually a hate figure to most. Id say the same thing/feeling were felt up and down the country. Haye's name to the mass public is one of failure. Sadly, because its not true.
I think Haye had problems for a number of reasons..... like I think he went into the fight with the wrong mentality, to KO Wlad, which usually promotes the use of single punches rather than combinations. Now one of the reasons I believe the combinations were so important is because Haye was never going to try and compete from range with Wladimir, as he lacks a jab, so If he was gonna get close enough to Wlad he needed to get his feet into position to be able to land, now throwing 1 2 punches always had the potential to fall short, particularly if your loading up, cause if you have aint using the jab to work your way in and are just looking to explode off with punches, its easier to see them coming, now had Haye of been throwing combinations he might of missed with the first 1 2, but if he were throwing 4/5's he might of been able to shuffle his feet forward whilst throwing the combinations to get his feet into position to land other punches. Haye should of fosued more and getting his feet into position than actually landing punches. Obviously the best way to get your feet into position is to use the double jab, but Haye doesn't really have a potent jab to speak off, although watching some of his amateur fights, he does seem to have a decent jab WHEN he uses it. Haye might of gotten away with throwing singles, not throwing combinations, if he would of been able to use the movement to create angles to mount his offense, but Wlad even took that away from him by cutting the ring down as efficiently as what he did. Infact Wladimir's ability to cut the ring down won him the fight imo, cause when Haye couldn't seem to create those angles with movement, he resorted to coming straight down the line throwing punches, which is always dangerous, now as I say because he was throwing singles, he invariably fell short, and who knows had he been throwing combinations Wlad might of been able to pick him up with a counter sooner or a later, but I think if he would of been throwing combinations he would of atleast had a small window opportunity to potentially get closer, disorganize Wlad, and hurt him before Wlad was able to adapt to what he was doing and pick him up with that counter. I think you saw toward the end that when Haye did attack Wlad with combinations, that he was able to get closer, as Wlad is the type to move straight back before moving off in a circle, so if your throwing combinations he's gonna stay on the line long enough for you to catch up with him when you start advancing your feet forward whilst throwing combinations.
On the basis Primetime and Channel 5 are one of the same, if the fight happens, its only going one way. Box abomination no chance.
