Does anyone know who the ref for Cotto-Marg is?

Havent seen anything although Im praying for it to be Smoger

 

I was thinking Weeks... But Smoger is good too, no complaints if it's him.

 

mercante jr.'s not a bad choice. that way when cotto is punching that margarito out, he can tell that mother****er to suck it up, and fight through it.

 

If its Cortez ill be so depressed, imagine him breakingup the fight anytime they get close to eachother.
That and he will probably be having a discussion with a outside person while someone gets floored.

I honestly feel that any match with ANY kind of importance should be done by Bayless,Weeks or Smoger.
Other referees below the championship level can prove themselves there first and if shown to be competent they can stepup to that level too.

But people like Cortez and Mercante jr(spelling?) should not be allowed near a title fight.

 

****! I hope it's not Bayless again. Prety sure Margarito's people would object to it seeing how many unecessary warnings he gave Margarito in the first fight. ****er doesn't know how to officiate and infight unless there's a whole shitload of clinching so he can interrupt every 15 seconds.

 

Isn't Mercante Jr. based in NY? He did the Cotto/Foreman fight in Skankee Stadium.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is him.
