It means nothing: "I am offended by that..."

So what? Nothing can be done about it!

If people cannot cause offence, what is the point of culture?

I am not saying that everything is fair game. But there is a difference between offensive (which is for some people, what Negus' comment caused) and an insulting; which should be at least apologized for.

 

Agree. It actually says more about the person complaining than what Negus said. They're probably one of those sad ****s that writes into the Radio Times to complain.

When something is directed at someone it can be construed the way it should be. If its just an off the cuff saying then it should be taken for what it is.

 

In fairness, he was very Jewish with his workrate.

 

He was once liked because Football Factory, The Business etc had some potential. Unfortunately he took what worked for him and then turned it into a self parody like you say and now everyone thinks he is a knob. Poor guy thought he was becoming Ray Winstone but it never quite worked out.

 

It might not be PC but there is nothing no one can do. When someone says being Jewish then your mind automatically thinks of its reference.

People need to chill out on racism etc If the intent isn't there then people need to take a deep breath as no one is being malicious.

I highly doubt Dominic Negus could explain anything about the Israel-Palestine conflict, anti-Semitism, Zionists or even that Jesus was a Jew.

To be fair, who knows what he could haver done at cruiserweight? it's always a division that's been wide open. Either way it was right that he had his licence taken from him.
