    Speaking of someone with 'boy' in their name. Barry Michael vs. Lester Ellis was a great scrap, and perhaps the biggest Aussie fight in history.

    Indeed, another 15 rounder too. Speaking of Michael he also beat Najib Daho (over here) in a 15 round fight.

    I think we could compile a list of what we think could be classed as 'great fights' and end up with a few hundred, and then can decide from that what makes the top 100.

    I think it'd be fun getting a massive list down to a top 100. It'd be tremendous to have a definitive list of top 101 fights to see before you die.

    I would say Gomez-Arthur, it's one of my favourite domestic fights of recent times and it should make the shorlist.

    Daho was a decent little operator, much loved when he was active.

    Btw, did i ever tell you that my ole man was meant to be in the arena when Michael lost to Rocky Lockridge, but there was a bomb scare that night so he didn't go. He was big fan of Barry, so just as well really.
